You have to wonder if there's just a group of PETA nutjobs that troll animal attack stories to comment on how all pets are super dangerous baby killing machines. I read a lot of pit bull and reptile news "attacks" on my forums for those and it's the same exact type of mass commenter on those, they drag up debunked myths and skewed statistics and act like every pet is just waiting for it's chance to eat you.

The majority of the comments I've seen are pro ferret rather than anti ferret. There may be a lot of misconceptions about ferrets but there are also a lot of ferret lovers who will always defend these creatures.

I don't think PETA hates pets. There is nothing on their website about this. Plus they even have a ferret care sheet on their website.

PETA considers keeping pets to be "enslaving" animals. They would rather kill homeless pets than rehome them. It sounds crazy but it's true. They don't advertise it because most people completely disagree with this policy and would stop giving PETA their money. PETA is an extremist group. OMG I know I heard that one too. Rubbish!! That's like saying cats suck the breath from a baby because it smells like milk. UM NO, actually cats ARE protective of their "property" and like to sleep with baby, and accidentally have smothered them. There have been dogs that did the same thing. Doggy tried to protect baby in danger and accidentally smothers it. H3ll HUMANS have done that! |

Anyone read the report at the bottom of the yawing ferret article? blogs.riverfronttimes.com/dailyrft/ferret%20incident%20report.jpgThey said they saw the ferret sitting by the vicim and the victim covered in blood. Sounds to me like IF the ferret was even there it was wrong place wrong time for that poor little guy. It says Nothing about blood in the ferret and even if it did well if it was BY the baby I'm sure it would get blood on it by walking by. I mean think of how badly 7 missing fingers would bleed. They SHOULD do a necropsy of the fert - if they can find fingers fast enough they MIGHT be able to save a few pieces at least, stubs or more. If they are not in the ferret (I doubt they are!) then It proves the parents are lying, ferret is innocent, AND the fingers have to be somewhere. Sadly if they don't take him out of the home the boy will probably grow to hate and fear ferrets and not be happy farmers hahahahahaha  I was literally falling asleep at the end of this. I DID have a coherent thought to share, but for the life of me I am not sure what it is or why I wrote anything about "happy farmers."  |
