I think the trafficking and sale of baby furkids totally inhumane. Many have tried to stop this horrible practice...even to postpone the time that they're weaned and shipped would go so far as to guaranteeing greater survival and much less stress on these little ones. I like your idea about releasing the little ones to their new homes. Age, maturity and health are all parts of an equation that need to be considered when deciding if a little one is ready to deal with the stress of going to a new home. ciao

Ok, I really don't think I can part with my ginger boy now, could you? So I am asking for suggestions of a name that suits his stunning looks & personality please. I am leaning towards "Merlin" now, kinda suits him..

Soooo excited to hear your planning on keeping him. You'd be crazy to give him up! So a name he must have...
I think he needs a "fire name"
In Celtic, the name Kegan means "bright shining flame" and its a cute name for a boy. ;D ;D ;D

Thank you jacksmomma for the suggestion, I will keep it in mind.
Yes I will keep posting updates. It is wonderful for me too, sometimes I go back to Page 1, and look at the tiny little balls of fluff when they were 1 week old and its just amazing to have watched them grow up and go thru all the colour & character changes.
I am so happy I have got to share it with you all, from me worrying about pregnant Buffy, then the birth of 6 kits to the handsome little kids they are now. It has truly been an incredible journey. But the next journey is just beginning with Bindi's 7 adorable kits, so stay turned for more excitement watching them grow, and even more exciting colours, tho there are no DEW that I had hoped for.
I am sure you will get lots of photo's of ginger boy as he matures into a handsome hob. I can guarantee you that he will not be desexed until the end of next winter, yes he is very lucky he is not a Marshall baby, he will get the time to mature and grow first.
Poor Ozzie is feeling so left out now, I did hold him and hold one kit and he kissed him and cuddled him and was so happy, so I might bring him inside for a little visit with the boys, and try & get a father & son photo too. Ginger is going to be is playmate, so he can meet his son now, as long as he behaves himself..

His name is "Merlin" now, its really suits him, and I went to the cage door and called out "Merlin", and funny enough he was the 1st baby that came to see me, so he likes his name. He also wags his tail when something interests him, too cute..

I love it how cats are convinced they'll fit into any box, no matter the size

Well the babies are now 8 and a half weeks old. This weekend as sad as it will be, I must say goodbye to the pale coloured girl and 2 sable girls. The pale one is only going to the next town and she has a desexed male for a friend, so I can still see her and watch her grow up, so that is good to know. Hopefully the 2 sable girls new owners will keep in touch with a few photo's now & then. I am happy they are going together for company and to support each other after leaving mummy.
Batman is going next weekend, it will be very hard to say goodbye to him, and he is going a long way away too. He is a very good type of a boy, and the loveliest nature too, I will miss him a lot... But I can't keep them all, as much as we would love to. I have Bindi's 7 coming on, they are 4 weeks old, and the most stunning colours. Then I will have to decide if I will keep one of her males, or keep Merlin. If I decide to part with Merlin, I will give him to my stepfather, that will still keep him in the family...

I think that is so adorable that Ozzie decided to give kisses to his boy And that face is just too precious. But then Bindi's babies will be just as precious,

I have to admit, I would have a hard time giving this little sweetie up. I would really have to be considering where my breed lines were going to part with this little one. He has such a sweet face. The look of a true snuggler. ciao
