I just caught her snorkeling in the water bowl, at just 6 weeks old, now I know why the floor is always wet, lol. A guy bought 2 sable girls for his wife's Birthday present, isn't that nice.

Well the babies have spent a few nights out in the big cage now, all is well. They are toasty warm of a night and having a great time with lots of room to play. Buffy is relaxed now she does not have to worry about Bindi attacking.
The boy with the ginger colouring on his face is changing colour once again. His guard hairs have turned brown, I think he is going to be champagne or cinnamon as his head has turned cinnamon now too. He is the loveliest little guy, he loves to cuddle up under my chin, a real sweety. The girl is looking to be the same colour and nature too.
The sable girls are looking stunning, 2 of them are real sookie, and the other one is a bit of a rascal. Batman is THE BOY, he is the dominant one and I have to constantly remind him not to bite. Out of 6 kits there is only the girl & Batman that will nip, the rest are sweet.

I took Batman & Buffy inside tonight for some alone time. Batman is learning to walk properly now, and he has a little run sometimes. Well tonight he had a little weasel war dance, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen, it even made my husband giggle. I think he was a bit surprised with himself, and he went dook dook dooking following Buffy around. So funny, it made my day....

This is my home made cage, it has a 3m run with 10m of pipe. Nice warm box for their bedroom & eating area upstairs. Roof & tarps go on of a night & when it is raining. They love the slippery dip pipe coming down off the cage, you can just about hear them go "weeeeee". Yes, I know I am a stunning boy! What should my name be? (is that the pinkest nose you have ever seen?) Sort of see the brown coming thru, tho its not as dark as it looks, its so hard to get a photo to show his colour. Cosy & warm inside the crate

Babies 1st quail "Thank you little quail for your sacrifice so we may eat, Amen." Feeding Frenzy, I had to put chicken wings out as well, as they can really fight over food now, ginger boy growls at them too.. Little girl really enjoying it "I've got a full belly, time for a nap now. You think I look so sweet & innocent, just try & take my chicken bone off me, haha" says ginger boy "Can I come out & play now" asks little girl

How old are your little fursharks, now? They are certainly enjoying their dinner . They are truly adorable. How are the other little ones doing? Is the little furmomma happier now that her momma's litter is outside? ciao

Babies are 7 weeks old and that's their 1st whole prey, I did trim off the feathers for them. They eat like sharks, they have quite an appetite.
Bindi's little babies are well & growing thank you. She was a bit stressed for a few days after I took Buffy & kids out. She didn't know where they were, but she has settled down now to be a good mummy. I will get some more photo's of them later, she gets very upset if I take the blanket off them. At the moment there are 2 sable mitts and the rest are sable point, they have dark legs and tail and pale belly and face.
Buffy & kids outside are having a ball. Just on dark they all get very playful and have races through the pipes and chase each other thru it dooking their cute baby dook dook. It is so funny watching them come out, 1-2-3-4 wait a while 5-6- Buffy. We had a few arguments about taken meat into the pipe to stash it. So I tied it to the wire mesh for a few days, seems to have worked. But Buffy does bring it out when she go in there. Helpful mummy. She does not like them eating all the time, she will take the meat and hide it from them, then give it back to them later when she thinks its snack time. She also has set times when they allowed on the teat. She will drag them all onto the blanket and tell them to drink now.
I can't believe its nearly time for them all to go, it has gone so fast. I think I am going to keep the ginger boy, I have got very attached to him. I guess it all depends on Bindi's litter, if she has a male that is more stunning in looks & character than Ginger I might change my mind and keep one of Weasel's (R.I.P) grandsons. I won't name him until I decide to keep him.

They are so cute. How long do you keep them until they're homed? I can't help thinking...and those of you who are following this thread think about it too. Look at these little ones, look really carefully. In a farm ferret situation, Marshals, PV, RC....these little ones would have been weaned 2 weeks ago, placed under anesthetic, spayed and altered and descented. They would have then been placed in shipping crates and shipped all over North America to holding stations. Look carefully at these little ones right now. This is the age that they are placed in the pet stores, sometimes a week sooner but this is the age. Look carefully at your little ones, give them a big hug, because they are the little ones who survived that treatment and all the stress that's associated with it. It's really not a wonder that our little ones have so many health issues. You have beautiful little furbabies foxfire. I will be looking forward to seeing more photos of your little ones. They are doing well ciao

OMG! That is so very sad, I can never imagine taking the kits off Buffy at 5 weeks, the stress on Buffy and the kits would be enormous. Desexed at that age is unthinkable to me. So sad for the little ones, I wish something could be done to stop the cruelty.
I let them go to their new homes when they are at least 8-9 weeks old. It really depends on the development of the kit. Some are more mature than others, and it is easier for them if they go in pairs. The 3 girls are going when they are 8.5 weeks, Batman when he is 9.5 as he will have a 7 hour drive home.. Not sure if I have sold the other sable girl yet, just waiting on replies...
