Its amazing to watch them eat at this age. The power in those tiny jaws, super sharp teeth, and raging appetites. Makes short work of a chicken neck. I cut most of the meat off the chicken leg, until they learn to chew the meat and not just swallow it and choke, they get chicken leg bone, chicken & turkey wing segments, chicken neck, rabbit leg bone and raw soupy. Soupy is a hit with them, but what a mess they make...My baby mice are 2 weeks old, so they can have some mice when they are chewing properly in a few weeks.

Oh my Gosh -- I want one of those little guys---too cute!!!! ANd if you think those babies have radical eating insticts, you should watch real wild weasel babies - they are a lot more agressive than domestic ferts when they eat... We got a litter of wild baby weasels in at the wildlife rehab place. they were extremely young(fuzz only) and SMALL (a couple of inches only)The adults are only about 6 inches (without tail). Anyway, the babies managed to escape and get into a basket with a \bird. We were all horrified by what we saw - These cute little fuzzy "sausages" just shredded that bird in no time flat. We were already handling the baby weasels with welding gloves. But after that, none of us were sure the gloves would be sufficient protection. Got to admit, these things were the scariest animals we had ever seen ANd they were so young - I can only image what a wolverine would be like - Yikes!!! -jennifer

I know you all have been dying to see a video of the babies, so here is a quick one of the babies eating raw turkey. Sorry it is a bit rough in places, I was trying to control Bindi as well. It was about 1/2 hour before she attacked the little girl. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRVthArq4LY

I am so proud of the little ones. I have got them all litter trained before they are 6 weeks old. Kinda proud of myself too...I don't know where that time went, I can't believe they are nearly 6 weeks old already.. It is so cute watching them hop out of bed, walk across to the litter tray and go potty all by themselves. At the moment they have got the lid off the 20L plastic tub, as it is lower, but sometimes they climb into Buffy's litter tray. More photo's coming soon. They are playing with each other, and even have the odd fight over who should get the rabbit leg 1st, gotta lov em..

Its a girl Katt, actually 3 girls look the same so far. They are so sweet, and not very bitey at all.
I will try & get a photo of "Batman" the other male.
