I got Pooka a Lupron injection until we can get the des ordered in. They were very prompt to answer all my vet's questions and they're processing the paper work. I figure that Pooka will probably need another Lupron shot to do her until the des comes in. She is responding to the Lupron which is nice as I've not had much luck with it so far. ciao

The kids had all their shots done friday. ^.^ My vet wants to speak to this vet to see how thto do the lupron shots, and such. Though...everyone seems to be really worried about monster having a really large belly. His..liver ( i think thats what they mentioned ) is also huge. Can this be some kind of new cancer, a problem from the pred, or... . A lady at the ferret show even mentioned that his liver was huge.

I know the dogs I had to put on pred always got the "pred belly." So it could be that or something else (I know spleens can make the belly enlarge, too, if they get big).
All my best thoughts to you and Monster!

I just read that i could be a number of things but nothing that I can really do much about. Liver cancer you can do surgery to taze the bleeding vesels but it just prolongs life. Lymphoma is not likely and him being insuli, and adrenal equals a bad idea for chemo.
I think it's his spleen. I can feel it on his belly with my right hand
