I'm getting rats to start a colony. Yay!!!!!!
So now each of my guys can each have a heafty size rat pup instead of spreading out three hoppers between five annoying fuzzies. I know someone that I can get rabbit pinkies for like 3 bucks, and chicks for like a 1-3 depending on size.

I fed everyone chicken bits last night. Lee and pixie ate the most, but everyone else did have a bite or two.
They also got a small rat last night. It was skinned as someone had the back bone and tail, another the legs, and leeloo the brain.

Found pixie and jack chomping on a two day old chicken back under my bed today. lol At least now I know they are eating raw without my persuasion.
I also made ground beef, chicken, and deer soup last night. Yummie. They also have deer meat for the next couple weeks.

Soups are still cooked. I may change to raw, but making a nice warm soup is their favorite thing right before bed!
Their first experience with deer and the soup didn't go well. Hardly a soul licked anything. Tonight someone snacked on a few pieces + they all ate soup. I'll let you know on if anyone ate anything else in the morning. ^.^

So...I hunted down deer in their tunnel tied to the top of the fn.
Second try- Some was eaten. Soup Devoured.
Third go- Everything was eaten.
Tonight I am going to feed them some deer, and a second helping of soup. My mice aren't big enough to really be worth feeding, and my rats haven't showed pregnancy bellies.

It looks to be a weird group. Eating raw- Lee, Jack, monster!!!! , and Surprisingly Pixie. Between Between- Ripply. She eats mice, but not sure about the raw. She's also a delicate eater. I think she just is shy about it. Between- Swipper is dabbing into raw. She'll join in and try to bite pieces off, but won't eat it. She loves her soup. Soupies- Dakota, Dingo, and Bear. They will eat soup, but aren't interested in the meat. tonight we had chicken. Pixie keeps hiding the chicken in her tunnel.
