Excellent! Now once he gets the hang of eating the soup (give him about 3 days or so) you can start to add TEENY TINY pieces of raw chicken to the soup. Cut the pieces so they are about HALF the size of a piece of kibble. Slip them in the soup. If he eats them then over the next week or so gradually add in more chunks, less soup until he is eating JUST chunks. Then once he is eating JUST chunks, gradually make the chunks bigger and bigger. I find the easiest way to cut small chunks of meat is to use a pair of scissors Be sure to wash them well afterwards.

The soup was pretty chunky and Chewie ate all of it. It was more like stringy chicken, but still there.

He's doing awesome so far!!
Do you have questions? You may be able to mive on up to bigger pieces already since he is doing to well, most of the time if the ferret is willing to eat chunky stuff the switch it really easy.
If you need any help let me know!!

I do have a question. For the rescipe for the soup I need to put finely powdered egg shell in it can I also put the egg in it too? Also is there any special way to ground the egg shell?

It depends on how many egg shells the recipe calls for, you really don't want to feed more then a egg or two a week. Do your parents have a coffee grinder? If you you can put the shells in the oven on the lowest tempature until they are dry, crush them a bit then grind them in the coffee grinder. Or just put them in the blender the other ingredients.

Ok thank you! Well Chewie ate all 6 chunks of steak I gave him!! He loved it!! I'm so proud!! I'll still stay on the soups with an added chunk of meat every once in a while then take away the soup and keep him on the chunks and so on. We'll see how he does!

Thats great! The next step would be getting him to eat some chicken bones.

Yup, Tss is right. Once he is eating JUST chunks that are about the size of your thumb, its time to introduce him to bone. You would do this by taking a chicken wing and cutting it into 3 segments (at the joints). Then you cut some gashes in the meat (so he can learn how to get a grip) and offer him that. You migth have to smear some pureed beef ( raw beef + water that's been mixed in the blender) onto the chicken (for familiar taste) but he should get the hang of it. He is progressing very quickly for a ferret of his age. I am VERY proud

I am so proud of him too!!! Yesterday he ate a whole half of a steak (bout half a pound) with kibble and powdered egg shell on top!!!! Might be cause it's winter??? I don't know, but when I bring the meat in for him to eat he goes crazy!! He starts jumping around and dooking!!!! I think I'm gonna have him switched before Oct.10th ;-)!

It's quite possible. Adreanal would cause him to be high strung and burn more calories so he would need to eat more.

Oh really!? Well he looks pretty good considering how long he may have had adrenal!! Also on the scale in the questionnaire when I said his energy level is usually a 6, when he's out playing it's more like a 9.5-10+!!!! He's got more energy than Ollie (Ollie's really calm for a ferret though...)
