Awwwh. She looks so sweet and lonely. Poor girl. Animal Control is no place for any furbaby much less one so young.

They're not very good at judging age either...Gypsy the last pull from there they said was 2 years old but one look at her teeth and she's more like 5-7 years old....the fur thinning on her tail worries me.

If your like me, you'll leave with her. When I went to the humane society after Zoey died, I came across a bonded group of 6, +1 extra nasty biter they put with them to calm her down. The group was SO skinny, every single one of them was skin and bones.. very very poor coats, talons for nails and they were pretty worn out from stress at the shelter. I took all 6 of them, PLUS the biter.. (she got me good on my neck today, looks like a hickey >,<) I doubled the amount of ferrets I had in one day. At first it was a litle overwhelming but now I've got a routine down and it works great. Everyones happy and getting healthier each day. I don't regret it, but I know if there is an animal in need and I have the funds and space.. I have a very hard time saying no, especially when they are pathetic looking and they just need some good food and some TLC.
She looks like she could be adrenal, but the picture is bad.. I doubt she's only 4 months old.. but who knows, she could have a flea allergy and some rat tail. Let us know if you get her!

I think your call is probably correct. She appears a good 4 or so years old (that's without looking at her teeth) and she looks like she's probably got adrenal. That being said, if you can afford her and you're into giving a little one a really good home ciao

i suppose to tell anything better it would be all about seeing her in person because the tip of her tail is thinned out, thats something ive not really seen i mean im not experienced with ferrets as much as everyone else here but even the lightning at the base of her tail might just be her coat, my boys are really white underneath, they didnt really get a good quality pic then again it IS a ferret so technically thats a REALLY good pic of her XD if i lived there id snatch her up in a heartbeat for you lol

What is the website to where she is at? I live in Texas now but I am from St. Cloud, Fl, I'm just curious of what they have there.

She's at the orange county animal control.... I just left there and am waiting for a call back....she's comming home with tlme tonight as soon as she gets her rabies shot.....=P she's about 1-2 years old and she's covered in flea bites...her tail fur is thin but it looks like a bunch of ACNE/blackheads....she has random patches of thin fur but i think its from fleas she's super Itchy! Would walk a few steps and scratch like crazy. She does have a top canine that is broken and a bit discolored so that will be something to watch she's super lovey....I may actually have a Cuddler! I'm on my nook color at chick fil a down the street from the shelter...

Fleas do cause coat loss, especially if they've been out of control. I'm thinking of poor Houdini, when I picked him up. He was a very pale cinnamon colour, so every piece of pale flesh showed up through his coat. he had no undercoat to speak of. Partially nutritional, but also a response to all the flea bites on his little body. He was painfully thin, you could count every vertebrae along his spine. He had no tail fur either or at least not a lot. He had never been out of his cage (at least that was a decent size) both he and Shazam had no muscle tone at all. They both felt like little bags of bones, and their coats were gross, dry and brittle but at the same time oily if that makes sense. Anyway, the long of it, was once the boys got good food into them, you wouldn't recognise them. Houdini got so fat He was never a large ferret, one of marshals teeny tinys but he was so sweet and he just lapped up the attention. Shazam was the more active of the two despite being about 2 yrs older. The lady told me they were 3 and 4 but when checked they were about 5 and 7. ciao

Well she's home and in the iso cage I put in a bowl of water and a bowl of ground whole chicken and as soon as it was put down she walked over to it, sniffed it, and started licking it! but then she looked up at me and wandered around...so I left the room...well see later if she's eaten any! keeping my fingers crossed! One other cool thing she did, was poo, in the litter box, as soon as it was in with her! AWESOME!!!! and holy cow was that poo HUGE! (and stinky) There wasn't any poo in her cage at AC and the ride home was well over an hour so I think she really had to go, but held onto it until there was a litter box to go in...which if she did was really cool! I got to AC around 2-ish and just got home about 15 min ago. Not sure what her name will be.... She's a super sweetheart and as soon as I got to the car I took her out of the carrier and into a pillowcase to snuggle in and she rode home on my oldest lap. She has no real undercoat or winter fluff...or fat and muscle, mainly skin and bones with quite a few flea bites got to get some groceries in her! Her nose is brown and pink kind of marbled and the kicker....she has no tatoos!

I'm so glad she likes her raw and she's already litter trained? Amazing. She sounds like such a good girl!

Guess she's not a marshals then It's so wonderful that you have her. Now, she's got a fighting chance at a wonderful life Hopefully, she will just chow down on the new food. That was something that surprised me about Shazam and Houdini. They just helped themselves to the ground raw. I didn't have to do anything. I know no one ever introduced them to anything other than the kibble that they occasionally tossed in with them. Has she been treated for fleas? or did they leave that for you to do? She sounds absolutely wonderful. You will have to post pics when you get time ciao
