I checked in on her and she's already re-arrainged her cage and eaten about half of the chicken. SCORE!!! I just gave her a good flea combing (found a few) and 1 drop of Frontline...just in case! I really don't need to infest the whole house. She's #3 of my unmarked ferrets and all three of them are very slender, one thing different, she's really sweet where as Sophie Ann and Velma have their split seconds of sweetness just before they sink their teeth into you. I found my camera last night when I cleaned off my nightstand so I will be able to take pictures and upload them tomorrow

The only reason why I mentioned it was I got caught with Shazam and Houdini. I was so horrified at their condition, stupid me, I never thought to check them for fleas, even though I should and usually do check. I wasn't making any remark on your care or thoroughness. Thank you for taking in this little one ciao

she sounds adorable, and I can't believe she's already eating raw. Some are just so desperate for good food that they don't fool around given half the chance!

oh no! No worries! Fleas are evil bloodsucking little critters and like I said I sure the heck don't want to infest the house with them...and me I'm allergic to them! When I get a flea bite it swells up to about the size of a quarter and even at times a half dollar! With the kids, dogs, cats, guinea's, Fuzz and husband, reminders on even the simplest things are greatly appreciated! I would of loved it if AC had treated her for the fleas, would of saved me the expense but with all the budget cutting...well something as simple as a few drops of frontline is not done. We have it on hand so it wasn't really a big deal but they charged me full price for her when they're running a special of $20.11 for everything else...they could of atleast done that ya know?!? I understand that they are underfunded but fleas carry all kinds of nasties and preventative like frontline would, I think, save money in the long run.... I haven't weighted her yet and didn't want to over dose her with the frontline so just a drop was given, I'll keep on combing her out just in case that one drop wasn't enough...plus she stinks so she may be getting a bath in a few days and I don't want to loose any advantage I've got on the fleas if the water makes the frontline uneffective. I have two flea combing stations one at my desk (it has a comb, small bowl, bottle of rubbing alchol and ear cleaning stuff) and the other is on my nightstand with all the same stuff... I'll be sprinkling the interior of my car with DE just in case a few escaped into the car...grrrr....I hate fleas and wish so badly that the city would let me raise guinea hens as a source of flea control....
