I'm getting another ferret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! This can't be happening!! I will be the main caretaker and teach my sibling how to take care of him, how to play with him, etc. My parents said they were worried about letting everyone get their own pet, so I suggested just one ferret for everyone! So my thinking is this...I'm main caretaker, but technically it's their too, but kids get bored quick. So he'll end up 100% mine anyways! His name is Chewie (going to change that) he is 3 years old and from the same pet store as Oliver. I found him on craigslist. He is free with all supplies because the owners are "allergic". I found out the 15 year old daughter is actually the owner, so maybe not so "allergic" as to bored of him. Can't wait!! Anybody have name suggestions?? He is butterscotch color they said, so cinammon or chocolate color. I also need some bonding tips and when I see if he'll take meat or not I'll need some help starting him on raw. This should be fun. I can't wait!!! Getting him tommorow and will keep you guys updated!

Hooray! See! Being responsible paid off! Yiippiiieee!!!
Ah! Bear in mind that a 3 year old will be harder to switch to raw then Oliver was, BUT we are here to help you (once he gets settled in).

Yeah! Let's hope he's not too stubborn! He come with a brand new bag of food, so I'll have enough for a while and then slowly switch him. Now I have something to do!! What a fun summer!

You might have to use a different switching method (like the "soup method") but we'll make it happen

Don't forget to quarintine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No germs from the new guy to Oliver. You've got to be very careful. When we got the girls we Q-tined them in the other end of the house, but another level of the house would be even better.
Congratulations, by the way. We'd love to see pictures once you get him. If you called Oliver Ollie it'd be neat to have a Ollie and Wolly. lol.

Congrats on your new addition! Wait until you get him hime to determine his color- I've seen some pretty dirty albino ferrets that could be classified as "butterscotch".
A champagne will have golden highlights, while a chocolate will have brown. Cinnamons are rare, but will have red highlights.
I kind of like "Stanley" as in Stanley and Oliver that old comedic duo of the silent movie era!
I never liked naming animals similar sounding names- I want them to know they are individuals so their names all sound different.
Looking forward to pix! Cheers, Kim

Oh Stanley and Henry are cute!! Oliver is named after the cat on the cartoon Oliver and Company, so I may stay with that theme like: Dodger, Tito, Francis, Roscoe, Winston, and Desoto. That was my all time favorite movie when I was little!!
