Keep at it. I think they'll get back on track once they're over whatever little bug this is. Sometimes they associate a certain food with feeling yucky and avoid it.

hmmm interesting I didn't think or that... could explain why Sadie has started refusing the soup mix.... she actually twists and turns and makes faces to get away LOL It's what she' been eating while sick and I think she is feeling a bit better, more playful any ways. Going to try switching it up a bit see how she does. gave neka a small fish today he and Zeke fought over it... though not to eat it just to not let the other have it! though my dogs would not even eat the fish

Got a cornish hen for the ferts. Tried the wings first, I attached them to the cage. Zeke and Neka each had one and ate the wing tips. I'm sure Neka will go back to it later, as he's gone back a few times while the cage door was open and tried to pull it off the hook. Zeke also back to eating normal food (raw just he's been spitting out the chunks lol ) Sadie finished the antibiotics and the runs returned. Right now she is eating soup/pumpkin/kefir mix, trying to add ground meats to it but if there is too much she refuses to eat. Her energy though seems back to normal for her. It's very frustrating, she can be a little scavenger looking for food (today i figured out that's what she's doing cause she usually doesn't find any, today she did and whoa boy she went a little crazy) She has found a way to climb onto the kitchen counter and licked off a plate in the sink from dinner, but she will turn up her nose at raw chicken!? I figure she's been use to having lots of human food at her previous homes

Hmmm. She may need a second round of antibiotics if she's got something funky going on in there. The antibiotics will kill the stuff that's making her feel yucky, but it will also kill the good bacteria as well. The kefir will help rebuild the good bacteria, but I'd hate to wait too long to start another round of antibiotics if that's what she needs. What's your gut feeling?

I dont really know what to think. The vet did a stool sample test and found nothing. If there was bacteria or parasites it would have shown up right? So that leaves?? She doesn't like the kefir, so that could be part of her pickiness right now.

Not much new the boys are doing great, neka stole an oxtail from the dogs though he didn`t really eat it he at least knows it`s food and he stashed it in the cage food den, as opposed to under the china cabinet where he keeps all his other treasures. Sadie`s had some good poops, and is eating more, though its still a struggle.

Well, that seems hopeful that she just needs to get her good gut bacteria re-established.
Is everyone playing well? Good energy?

Sadie and zeke still seem to be sleeping more, but when awake they play and run around like normal. Sadie is on a second round off antibiotics. I've been feeding her more often, 3 or 4 times a day when I can. Just so I know she is getting enough. She still fights twists turns then eats like starving, then twist turn etc
Zeke is funny, he stole a piece of salmon from the dogs (I let them sniff at bowls before dogs to see what they like) and ate it all. Today I gave the boys a good size pieces of turkey neck and zeke ate it all BUT any chunks in his food bowl, be picks out and drops on floor and won't eat! Brat!

Will he eat chunks that aren't in soup every time or just whenever he decides it's good enough? I remember my first two not liking chunks in their soup. Soup needed to be soup and stuff to chew needed to be separate, so I transitioned those two by coating blanched meat in kibble powder (So much work!). But Katrinka started on soup and then ate the chunks as I added them. (She had to shake each chunk to "kill" it before eating thereby flinging soup everywhere.) So what I'm saying is... if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

He seems to love turkey necks, but other then that he only eats it when he feels it's good enough.... or if he gets it from the dog bowl lol I have even tried putting some of whats for him in the dog bowl... but he's not that easily fooled. I'll try the kibble covered and see.

I just thought I'd do a where we are at post Of course all three are at different levels Neka ... I have been throwing in pieces of meat with bone in the cage and he eats all that I've put in. ... examples.. oxtail, cornish hen wing, chicken wing, rabbit, turkey neck. SO he's right where I'd like them all to be. I haven't been watching too closely how much he's eating oz wise. He eats what i put in cage and eats when i feed the others, morning and evening. (which is ground small chunk stuff) Zeke... He's actually eating the ground small chunk stuff with little to no soup mixed in. He'll eat the occasional bigger chunk...more often then not he just stashes it and neka eats it before he gets back too it. I haven't had the chance to try the ground kibble yet, likely monday. Sadie... today is the first time in a while where we did not have to fight with her to eat. She ate over an oz this morning and again tonight, off a spoon and little to no 'fighting' about it (lunch feeding not so good). She is on a mix of soup pumpkin and ground meat... I've gradually been lowering the pumpkin and increasing the meat as her poops are holding at a good consistency. Still trying to fit in 3 feedings, mostly because she can't graze at the food like the boys do, if i leave any of her mixture in the cage the boys gobble it up. I still see the end goal at where neka is. He still loves soup and pumpkin, but will eat any meat in any form (except whole fish )

Excellent! Thanks for that. I've got no takers for fish over here either. Not even $28/lb sashimi ahi tuna. Fierra GAGGED on it. I'm glad Sadie seems to be coming around. That second course of antibiotics must have been necessary to clear things up. Now hopefully she won't feel icky and will want to eat!
