That looks like great fun....I will have to give it a try when the leaves finally fall. I live in an oak grove and oaks don't drop their leaves until much later. In fact they're the last tree here to drop their leaves. ciao

Looks like they're having fun Sherrylynne. My guys love when I bring leaves in for them to play.

awwww! They look so happy! I wish we had Fall so I could have beautiful leave like that!!! We have Live and Water Oaks and they don't drop their leaves until spring, and then they fall all in one week leaving me with 50+ bags of leaves to tend too before my psycho neighbor calls the city and complaines...grrrr.... she doesn't have leaves to pick up, she doesn't have trees, flowers, or grass in her yard, she had most of it paved over and the rest is those white rocks, the only greenery is a few palm and crepe myrtles...nasty, grumpy old lady....grrrrr!

I could send you some 50 bags of pretty red oak leaves in about 3 or so weeks when mine finally decide to loose their leaves I like not having neighbours. The wind does my raking for me Usually about a month after the leaves drop, we get a strong east wind that takes all the leaves off the lawn and pushes them into the forest. It's great. I only have to get the leaves that get shoved up against the back deck and the house (now those are piled up almost to my waist) but it's a whole lot easier than having to clear them off the rest of the property. ciao

I grew up in New England and really miss the fall, the cool crisp air, the fall colors, apples.....mmmmm.... I could never go back, Florida has spoiled me but I really miss having four seasons!

Yeah, that one's my favourite, too. That's Lucrezia upside down in it. She's just a silly girl all the way round And yes, the leaves are from both a chokecherry tree, and poplars.

One of my girls will only play in cornstarch peanuts. One prefers pingpong balls. The rest will play in almost anything, especially if I "play" with them, by sprinkling whatever it is over them

This is such a great idea! I bet my boys would love it since they are into the crunchy sounds. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of leaf fallage in the pacific northwest.

I try to remember to dump the leaves weekly, right now. That way, they get the new fresh smell on a regular basis, and they don't get tired of them so quickly.

So I have a million acorns outside. I wonder if my business would like that? The leaves here are moldy - we live on top of a waterfall so everything is pretty wet most of the time =/ Pretty soon more leaves will start falling here in MA and maybe I can collect some fresh ones before they get all grody! So far we tried rice and they poop in that. They also like to poop in the kidney beans. Whhhhhhy must they do that?!
