Update on Nibbles: Tomorrow I plan to try some bigger chuncks since she is back to eating as she normally does with the kibble/broth/raw food. I have been giving her a variety of foods such as chicken, pork, cornish hen, any thing that we have available for the other animals. I'm tempted to just see if she will eat ground raw food. I may try that this weekend to see if is accepting of that. I will first try the bigger chuncks and if she is all good with that then I will try just the raw food to see if she is interested.

How were the bigger chunks of meat recieved by Nibbles? Yay, or nay?

Actually it was a yay. The last two days I have been giving her about 60 percent raw chicken or pork. She ate it up like it was her kibble. The thing that I'm most concerned about now is getting her on pieces of food not just the ground stuff that I have been making for her.

Yay! Just start increasing the size of the chicken and pork a little bit each day and in no time she will be eating large chunks!

Sorry I haven't updated a few days. When I went on yesterday I didn't have an internet connection. Things are still going good.
Right now I'm kind of worried that she is getting addicted to the chicken broth. When I gave her some food it was kind of dry and she wouldn't eat it and then I pour some more broth on it and she ate it. Is it just because it something she is fimilar with?

By food do you mean kibble being dry, or meat? If it is the kibble, I think it is a good think she won't eat it without it being moistened. That kibble is rough on their little teeth. If it is the chicken that she won't eat without the broth, try to start weening the broth slowly...maybe adding a little water to the broth.

Hello, Sorry I haven't been on in a while. With the holiday and black friday I have been super busy. I will start added water just so its not broth only. Things are the same just trying to get smaller and smaller with kibble. I am again going to try to just give her some raw food with broth (and now some water on it) to see if she will eat it.

So, how did the less kibble and less broth go? (Sorry I haven't responded sooner. Been very sick. )

I don't blame you. I'm having a hard time remembering to login. Anyways I tried with less kibble and a little bit of water. It went well she ate it so I guess that good. I only put 5 pieces of kibble in with a big piece of chicken and she ate it. The other day I tried to give her ground up chicken with broth only but she wasn't having it.

Yesterday we gave Nibbles her food as normal but started putting chunck of chicken so its a little more chicken. At this point we only put 5 pieces of kibble in there but if I don't put any she won't eat it.

I think it is ok that you put a few pieces of kibble in with the mix. It is sort of a "crutch" for her at this point. Soon she will be walking......er...eating without it!

I'm down to three pieces of kibble per meal now. I'm just hoping that when it gets down to one she will be able to not have it anymore.

That is really good! So, she is eating just mainly chicken now...right? You are on the right track. What is the size of the chicken she is eating now?

We have cut it down to two pieces of kibble a day now. yes, she is mostly eating chicken. The chicken is still mostly grinded up but there are some small chunks on the top.

Ok, good! Once you are down to zero kibbles a day, try to start making the pieces of chicken a little bit larger and see how that goes. You are getting there!
