Every thing is the same with the soup.... Took everyone to the vet Spunky is having both his top canines removed in 2 weeks. Got to love the affects of poor diet and molly had a sinus arrhythmia ( still unknown as how its going to affect her) and everyone else is healthy.

I am sorry to hear about Spunky's canines. Luckily, he should still be able to eat a raw diet, even without the canines. The ferret uses the canine to grip, puncture, and subdue prey. When feeding raw meat, a ferret doesnt need to "subdue" it. He might have some trouble at first, but he'll get the hang of it. Hugs to you and your babies. Keep up the work with the soup, you'll get there.

Thanks for the update. I had some computer issues and have been offline for a few days, so that is why I havent replied to your post. I know ferrets can be frustrating. Atleast rufus is eating chunks though! That is great! I know they are tiny now, but you'll get to bigger chunks, I promise. How long has he been eating the chunky soup? What are the others currently eating?

Rufus has been eating the tiny chunks since the nov 4th... i tried making them a little bigger and he wanted none of it..
The others are at about [......]
Fionna will not touch it at all.... i even tried not giving her soup at all for 2 days figuring she loves her soup and if she would eat it with the chunks just so she could have it and still she is holding her ground on not eating it with chunks.

Have you tried to move Fiona onto ground raw (not quite soup, not quite chunks)? Perhaps this would be a good intermediate step (?) If the others are eating chunks that big that is great! Even Rufus is doing great, he'll get onto bigger chunks in time. Since they are taking time to switch I'd recommend either keeping them on the kibble OR better yet, getting them onto a ground raw diet: *Stella and Chewy's frozen patties *Hare Today, Gone Tommorow ground raw meat/bone/organ *Nature's Variety (NV) frozen raw patties *AFS raw patties When do you normally serve the raw chunks? What meats have you tried? just one meat? Or have you tried other meats? (Perhaps Fiona would like to eat raw beef chunks, but not chicken chunks. If you havent tried multiple meats yet, I'd recommend it. She might take to chunks if they are a different type of meat )

Guili i rather not buy the commercial stuff like what you listed. I can find all kinds of different variety meats at the Spanish stores and such here. and Erinn and I are going to plan a day trip to go to Chinatown in Boston..
I am not really one to order online. i did from stink weasel for awhile but that's really about it
I tried beef chunks with fi and i also tried ground turkey and she was a snob and wont take the either.. but im still trying with her. i tried a bit of the ground turkey with rufus and he was alright with those but now he refuses the tiny chicken chunks.. its never ending with these two

Thats okay, I understand about not wanting to buy online. So what is everyone eating? Anyone eating bones yet? How big are the chunks everyone is eating? Just trying to get an idea of where each of your babies is at with the switch. Its good to hear from you

I haven't really introduced anything other then the chicken chunks in their soup , i was not sure if i was supposed to yet as the chicken chunks in soup is all we have talked about. And i haven't given bone because i feel it is defiantly to early for them
We have really taken a step back in progress as i haven't been up to par and just have a lot going on and unfortunately it affected them. Im trying to get back on track and its a slow process.
So just a break down
Ozzy- he was off of kibble except an occasional munch because its avail 24/7 for the others.. but they had to go stay with my sister for 2 days..and even thought she told me she would feed him his raw..she decided not to and just gave kibble..and now all he wants is kibble... he will take an rmb.. but i cant get him to take any other meat anymore...and he even snubbed his pinkies and he loves those. It was only 2 days at most so i don't get it.
Tino- he eats chicken chunks in his raw soup they are about this big [......], he also eats beef chunks out of his soup..and he will share and rmb with ozzy but he doesn't really eat the bone. and he will eat some of a pinkie.but only after ozzy starts.
Molly, spunky,Ferret Bueller- they are at chicken chunks about this big [.....] in their raw soup... other then that they wont touch it out of their soup or any other kind of meat chunks.
Rufus- i have no idea what happen with him... he was eating tiny little chicken chunks...and then i offered ground turkey..and now he refuses the chicken but will eat the ground turkey.
fionna- she wont touch it... she also now refuses her soup since i offered beef and turkey to her..and she loved her soup. so i have just been leaving her be.
I guess you can say we are still in the chunk soup phase

Well thanks for you help or lack there of. I'm not getting much from this site or program.. i joined for a mentor and so far i have gotten very little help with the switch from you..and it feels like your mixing up my kids with other "ie the bones when we are clearly still on soup" I thought the point was to have someone help the whole way...and if im supposed to be adding things on my own judgment then i can do that on my own with out the program. I haven't heard anything since the 1st. and i know you have been on because i come on every day to check to see if you have answered and i see you on but i get no help. Why expect us to update every other day when you cant follow suit
Thanks anyways, Ash and the Dusel business

Ash,
I am very sorry that you have not felt attended to. I apologize for that. I recently started working (that last month or so) and I am also going to school full time. I've been having a hard time monitoring everyone. I try to come on the site daily and read through all the new posts (not just in the nutrition area, but on the whole forum). I usually do this after midnight after school and work, sometimes I mix people's threads up so I ask for clarification instead of having to backlog through pages and pages of posts. In the past (when you entered the program) I was mentoring people in addition to running the forum.
Now that I have become so busy I don't think it would be fair for me to take on personal newbies. In the future I will be assigning all newbies to my mentors. I am just not in the position to mentor at this time. You deserve better and I apologize for my negligence, it was certainly not intentional, but I can absolutely understand why you feel frustrated and upset.
If you like, I can assign you to a different mentor, that can check in on you consistantly, I promise that if you decided to stay in the program and we got you a different mentor that you would recieve regular contact from your mentor. I am so sorry for not going this sooner.
Are you willing to give it one more shot, or have I blown it? Again, I really do apologize. I'm so sorry for making you feel like you wasted your time.

Giuli, I am sorry if i came off rude. I was just getting extremely annoyed with the situation. i can understand having a busy life..and you still young!. I would have completely understood if you just explained you situation before,or just said you had a lot on your plate right now. again im sorry if i came off rude it wasn't meant to be. I would like to stick around and have another mentor. I really want these kidos switched.

Ash, I completely understand your frustration. You weren't being rude at all. If I was in your shoes I would have been just as frustrated! I really do apologize. I will get you set up with a new permanant mentor right away.
