I am sorry, i didn't mean to seem rude.. was just confused why i would add kibble to their soup as they all eat raw soup. I respect everyone's advice here, and didn't mean anything negative by my comment.

I tried the soup again with the smaller chunks i gave in with Fionna and Rufus and gave them the normal soup with no chunks after they refused it 3 times (because Rufus recent weight loss i don't want him not to have it and i worry about Fionna's emotion status.) i took it away from spunky 5 times when he wouldn't eat it and then the 6th time I offered it ,he ate it!! i think he figured if he wanted his soup he better eat it chunks and all Bueller did the lick the soup off and hide the chunks again.. but when i came back in the room he was chilling in his hid spot munching on the chunks. (i assume that was his plan last night but Ozzy stole what he hid before he had the chance) Tino wouldn't touch the soup at all, earlier tonight Ozzy attacked him and got him pretty good in the eye (vet trip tomorrow) so i think he was a little to traumatized to eat, ( after talking to Erinn (spiritualtramp) we suspect possible adrenal aggression with ozzy) Molly ate it no problem, she is a little gluten she tried stealing more from tino's bowl. ozzy wouldn't eat it either tonight.. he was having a hissy fit about being away from everyone and just refused to eat. but had no problem throwing the bowl and its contents all over the place.

LOL welcome to the "nut house" huh? (don't feel bad, my house is a "nut house" too ). Well I'm happy to hear that Spunky tried the chunky soup. 6th time's a charm, eh? Ferrets are so weird! I hope that the vet trip goes well tommorow. I am sorry about what happened. I hope both Ozzy and Tino are feeling better soon.

Do you have access to "freeze-dried" raw food? Things such as Stella and Chewy's patties, AFS Sprinkles, and Wysong can all be added to the soup and then from there you can wean them onto chunks of raw meat.

yes i have afs and stella and chewys.. they eat both
Wysong sent me samples last month and they eat that as well
Im not sure if that would work as they eat it already

Try moistening the samples by mixing them with the soup This way they get used to a semi-mushy chunk in their soup, and then from there you can slowly work on incorporating the chunks of raw meat. Honestly I think ferrets have to get used to the *texture* of a new food more then the taste (but this is just my opinion).

No Ozzy doesn't get kibble, i gave Ozzy a turkey neck. and fionna was eating it with him... which she has never touched his food...and wont touch the chicken chunks in the soup. (or maybe she has eatin his before and i just wasnt around) should i start feeding Ozzy's meal alone?
also I don't put kibble in their soup,
sorry i reread my first post and it sounds dumb the way i said it

Ah okay, thank you for clarifying. If fiona wants to eat chicken necks, then by all means, allow her to eat them. You can feed her with the others. Put the soup plate in for the others and put a chicken neck on a plate for Fi and see if she'll eat it.

Fi is a strange little girl, tonight she wanted nothing to do with chicken neck or chicken chunks in the soup. and i am trying not to give in and give her the soup without the chicken... she has been flatt ferreted at my feet for the last 20 mins... i offer it every few mins and then take it away.
Rufus is eating it with the Stella and chew pieces.
the others are all eating it with the chicken chunks... should i make the chunks bigger for them??

You can increase the chunk size if you want. Sorry that Fi is being a butt head.

ok i will make them a little bit bigger and see how they do with that..
Fionna can be a brat.. i dont like to push her to hard because she does get extremely emotional and she just recently got back into playing but at the same time i don't want to baby her to much. i'm just at a lose with her i guess. i want her eating raw but i dont want to chance her getting into a depression again... (believe me its not pretty and she turns into attack ferret)
