That is a nice modification to the cage! Im assuming you did that because the 3 level is so freaking tall?
LOL! I wanna be your ferret! Can I come live with you? Those are some sweet digs!

Cool!!! Its nice to have the cages lower - I'm short, and I can't see into my top-level FN cages without a big step stool I have a ramp for my kids so they can easily go in and out of the cage. I sometimes remove the ramp to change their exercise routine. They're all young (3 and 1.5) now, so I don't have to worry about them having trouble with it. Midwest now has a ramp designed for the outside of the cage. I removed some interior ramps. I moved some shelves higher and started the ramps off the ground (but secured to the side of the cage). This gives them more floor space- (even though they have their own room to destroy). My 6 cages are all constructed into a single cage. insread of putting screws in, I used the holes for tie-wraps, I also used tie-wraps around the floor interfaces (ceiling interface too) The brats love the space.

Cool! I'd love to see the instructions on how you chopped the legs off....there's nothing like reaching into the top level of the cage - where short people can't see - and where my ferrets like to "miss" their target. I think they do it on purpose to hear my big, loud ...."EEEEEWWWWW!!!!!" I have some pictres of my cage too....i need to take time to figure how to post pics! Thanks for sharing!!!! -jennifer
