I could just strangle rascal sometimes So as soon as I let her out she goes to a litter box (same corner each time) and pees beside the box. This i think is due to a rock being inside the box. Otherwise she moves the box and goes in the corner behind it.

Mine does that too. You would think it would be easier to just "go" in the box instead of moving it out of the way to go behind it. I mean, if you really have to go, then "GO" in the box. Heck, in my house, the litter boxes are usually cleaner than the floors!

Yeah! Its wierd, cuz she prefers the floor (which I am going to have to cover with plastic soon) but Lars will go in the box even if its way away from the wall.
I was thiking I should screw down the litter boxes once matt finishes their new cage. That way she can't get behind it. Which she did in her old cage.

I gave up. I just put newspapers down. With my kids being free roam they have several potty stops, I KNOW they do not like to use the smal triangle pans- too small. ANd they don't seem to like the high back, round front pans either. The only ones they'll use SOMEtimes is the extra large high back square ones. But mostly they just go right in front of the pans! IN front of the front door is a favorite place too- I think they think they are actuakky "going outside" when they use this spot.
I laid down a piece of vinyl carpet runner in front of the door to make clean up easier. But since Roman ahs decided the little nibs are great back scratchers and he constantly creeps under the runner, I think I'll progress to a heavier, stiffer chair mat.
They just like to know we are watching them!
Cheers, Kim

We had problems too so we bought the extra large rectangular cat litter pans (hubby cut a part out of the middle of one long side so they could get into it easier) but since we have done this we have few accidents outside of the cage and less in the cage.
