I made this one yesterday afternoon, and they go crazy for it. They spent all day running around their new toy. A couple have even taken to eating their food in here instead of under the couch. So far only Dillon and Bandit have used the litter box in here, but the others were asleep when I thought to add it. This was a huge hit. After all, what's a ferret castle w/o a dig box? This is the top of the castle (ramp room) where Piper likes to come to look out over her kingdom. ;D This is the bottom of the ramp room, its a little hard to see, but there are some toys and such in here. This has become the main entrance of the castle. There were some other tubes here, but they didn't like them so I removed them. This is the main room where they can eat, sleep and play. There are four entrances, not counting the open side which faces the wall (that's there so that I can keep it clean). One day either when I move or when I have more money, I can make it out of plastic and then I can add a pool room. You can see their pool in the first two pictures. Right now I have to set it up elsewhere and it takes up some space because my babies like to splash! I still need to add a water bottle to the main room and get the hammocks set up.

Way cool castle! Great job using economic props! Your kids should have an absolute blast in there! Only caution I'd advise is to keep an eye on the duct tape used- if they get to chewing on it, you could have some serious intestinal blockage issues. I doubt they will chew on it because they'll be busy trekking through their wonder land- just keep an eye on it. I've used duct tape when joining some flexible tunnels and so far have not seen any chewing, but the duct tape is on the outside of the tunnels and the ferrets are generally INside the tunnels.
Great job! Your rooms can be easily changed out as the boxes age.
Thanks for the pix! Cheers, Kim

It seems that its not just for playing and eating anymore. I found the girls sleeping in the 'main room' this afternoon, and this evening three of them were sleeping in there. ;D

That is so awesome my babies are jealous of your babies!! Are those hoses flexible? It looks like it. What kind are they like what is their technical name and where did you get them? Mine only have a 10 ft corrugated pipe under their FN they love it though. They will hate me for a week on Saturday when I take it away so they don't get bored with it.
