I have a GSD friend who swears by this reciepe. It will go bad after a period of time though, so I'd suggest keeping it in the fridge. Also a bit of organic apple cider vinegar added could also be beneficial.

I hear from a lot of people and from personal experience frontline plus (not regular frontline but plus) is the best for fleas. This time last year both of my dogs has fleas. They were on advantage with fleas....very nice. My one dog he has FAD (Flea allergy dermatitis)which triggers mass chewing hair loss and irritations from one flea bite. Now that we have them both on it we have 0 fleas. Oh yea also I have 3 cats on no flea protections and 2 of them are indoor outdoor kitties and no fleas. I'm not sure why who knows. We live in a bad flea area too. Maybe we have nematodes around our house.

I put some apple cidar vinegar in their water bowls. I think its 2 tbsp to 12-16oz of water. Of course then you need to replace the water daily or else it starts to smell funny.

You put 1 tablespoon per 16 oz of water. So say you are like me and are using (will be using in me case I just spoiled my babies again at theferretstore .com and bought them 2 stainless steel lock on dishes to replace their plastic bowls finnaly) lock on dishes they hold about a cup of water. A cup is 8 oz so you would use half a tablespoon on raw apple cider vinegar. It does not smell funny to me. Also you should change the water out once or twice a day(depending how many ferts you have) raw apple cider vinegar or not. Giuliana posted this information here on the first post. holisticferret.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=care&action=display&thread=33
