Hi everyone my name is Frank I am owened by a 1 year old female named Hershy we are in the Philadelphia , Pa area . I am very new to ferrets (got Hershy on the 4th of july this year) And I been researching and reading everything I can to learn how to properly care for her and her future playmate .(yes I am learning about ferret math too lol) . I am learning about differnt diets and was impressed with everything I read about raw diets and will be switching over from kibble to raw after I learn more about it . I was able to switch hershy from catfood to evo in less then 2 weeks so I am hoping switching her to raw will be just as easy . she has gained wieght and her fur is much shiny and thick already just from better kibble I can not wait untill I see how she is on raw P.S. I would put a photo but I have not figured out to load them yet

Welcome! you will see familiar faces here. There's many good people with a lot of info to help you make the switch, or supplement to the Evo, like I do. =) Do you have a photobucket account? Once the pics are downloaded to that, use the link. I hope that's not confusing.

Hi Suds & Hershey!
Welcome to the forum! Yes you will be very pleased with the improved health of your ferret when switched to a raw/natural diet! You'll get just as much if not more improvement that you've already seen by upgrading Hershey's kibble!
Think that you could handle that improvement? Why of course you can!
Is Hershey by chance a "chocolate" colored ferret? And would that me a milk chocolate or dark chocolate?
Glad you found us! Feel free to ask any and all questions you want!
Cheers, Kim

Hershy is a dark chocolate but seems to be getting lighter I think from the better diet and giving her some ferretone ,her coat is getting thicker and much better looking is why it seems to be getting lighter .her undercoat is very white now was a yellowish color when i got her. I will set up a photo bucket acount when i stop being lazy and post a few pics of her soon. on another note Saturday I am going go and see a 9 month old female if all goes well Hershy will have a playmate this weekend! I will give the new memeber a week or 2 to settle in then start the switching proccess to raw . I have my fingers crossed Hershy will be easy so far she seems to take to new foods pretty well . And with the other being 9 months old should be fairyly easy to (fingers crossed).

Gizmo is my GF's dog I am not sure what his breed is some kind of terrier he is 4 years old and every time he comes over he owns my bed lol. he runs says hi to everyone then goes up the steps to my bed like the king of the house before I got Hershy. He loves Hershy goes to her cage and cry's untill I let her out to play . They play tag , chase each other around then both jump on the bed and snugle for a nap and then start all over again .
