ok so as you all know today is my birthday, and i wanted to spend as much time with my babies as possible before my family took me to do family things... so i let them play for as long as possible and cleaned out all their poopies and gave them new food and water. after saying goodbye to them i took the biohazard bag of doodoo to the garbage and i left my door open, i NEVER leave my door open. EVER. unless i'm in the house and they are safe in the cage. anyway. so my family and i go out to eat for my birthday and i'm having a really great time, until my brother shows up and announces that he cant find the snake..... the 7 foot boa constrictor. it escaped from the cage. OMG there is a 7 foot boa loose in my house. i almost fainted. then i almost DIED when i remembered... I LEFT MY DOOR OPEN!!!!!!!! i couldnt breathe. i went into shock and tears i didnt know what to do. i knew that my five would be safe because they're in a FN. but my little Kina is in her own little cage on top of my dresser. all i kept thinking is all that snake has to do is smell her and try to climb up there and accidentally knock the cage over. the cage isnt very sturdy (but i figured she wouldnt be in it long before i moved her in with the others.) and she wouldnt have a chance because the stupid snake hasnt been fed in 3 weeks. anyways, there is a good ending and a bad ending to the story. but we got home and everyone was safe....except one... we found the snake but we never found Borris, my dumbo rat. his cage was mangled. rest in peace my precious Borris.
So sorry about Borris! Glad the rest of your babies are ok.
