I was talking with mary on skype and I was just wondering whats the difference between worlds best cat litter and the worlds best cat litter with clumping. ive read plenty of posts about WB but im a bit confused about which one everyone uses cause everyone talks about clumping but clumping litter is supposed to be bad. can anyone clear this up for me?

WB is a clumping litter made from cornhusk. The problem with clumping litters are the clay ones. They are tremendously dusty, and have been known to cause respiratory issues for ferrets. Combined with the fact that if it's ingested, it can cause a blockage because it will swell. It also can/will stick to their fur and skin, causing sores in some instances. The corn based litters are non dusty, completely biodegradable. They pass right through if swallowed.

It is my understanding that WB cat litter is a clumping litter. I don't think there is a non-clumping WBCL. However, like Sherry said, this clumping litter isn't made from clay, so it's okay.

Oh, sorry! No, there isn't a "non- clumping" variety of WB

WB has two varieties - if i remember from the last time i bought litter- they have the multi-cat and the single cat one.... I've always wondered the difference of these though. Multi-cats implies it would better control odor, so why wouldn't you use that for even ONE cat (or ferret)?

I couldn't tell you the difference, however I use the multi-cat kind. They don't carry the other kind around here. It works great, and I believe there isn't much difference in the two. I think the multi-cat adds some sort of plant fiber to help cut down on smell, but that's the only difference.

I use the multi too (and also love it), its just weird how litters are split-marketed towards multi- and single- pet households. I want the best for odor control regardless of how many butts are pooping in it

Exactly I also use the multi, though I've used the single cat in the past. There isn't much of a difference as far as odor control goes.
