I was browsing CL when I stumbled on this ad harrisburg.craigslist.org/grd/2180357467.htmlMy husband would probably kill me if I brought another one home, but I feel this giant need to give that little one a proper loving home.

I updated the link. Today's post had reduced the "adoption fee" from $200 to $150 but I guess they changed their mind

i just dont look at craigslist anymore eversince i talked to a woman about adopting her ferret and she attacked me because i likened feeding marshalls food to eating mc donalds... id like to make the point of saying that if we ate mc donalds for every meal every day our lifespan would shrink period...

I have to avoid Craigslist too! I have a very hard time at saying no to anyone or thing in need...that's how I've ended up with what my cousin calls "The Ark"!

Oh, I know how you feel. I just saw two cute babies on CL...the worst part is that they BOTH are in this TINY cage. I'd say about 12h x 12l x 2w and it's a completely wire cage, with a wide enough gap in the bars that their poor little legs can fall through. Ugh!!!
I can't even stand my 3 ferrets being in a 52 x 2 x 2!
But hang in there and be strong! We have to respect our men...so I hear lol

Oh, I should avoid craigslist too. I almost got myself in a bit of trouble yesterday. There was a ferret for free on CL, and she was so cute. I couldn't help myself, so I emailed the woman. She responded promptly, saying she was available, but I didn't check my email for almost 4 hours. By that time, she was gone. It is probably for the best anyway, since my girls are in the middle of switching to raw, but I can't help but wish it would have worked out. Ferret math, gotta love it!

We have to respect our men...so I hear lol I wouldn't say it's about respect so much as finances and the fact that I'm unwilling to pay someone $200 for a fert when I know I'll incur at least that much in vet bills just to get initial vaccinations and checkups done. (And I don't have a place to quarantine since we live in a 2 bedroom apartment). Plus the fact that we're technically not allowed to have ferts in our apartment anyway so our 3 are here illegally as it is. If we lived in our own house, I'd definitely bring her home and it would probably take him weeks, if not months, to figure out there was an "extra" fuzzball running around.

I look at craigslist almost everyday I have come up with a plan (since I can't have them all) where I will convince all of my ferret-loving friends to get them, and we can have big ferret play dates I even look at the craigslists in cities that I travel to often I always hope they all get good homes or at least given to a ferret shelter (who are pickier about who they give ferrets to, which is good). I hope that people who can't find homes for them will do that and not release them in to the wild or worse... that's my fear

I force myself to stay off Craigslist....For the very same reason that most of you have stated! I adopted a dog from a city pound her in CT via an AD off of Craigslist, though! So good does come off of this love-hate site Jackie- I hope you get the new fuzz!!
