Hey everyone!
It's been forever since I've posted or even lurked. I kind of dropped off the face of the planet for about a year because a lot has changed in my life (but for the better!) I had to deal with breaking up with my boyfriend of 6 years in February 2010 because he was starting to become controlling and abusive. I moved out of the apartment we had together with my grandma for a few months before moving back to my hometown of Houston. I was reunited with my friends and am now with someone very special to me (and he LOVES the ferrets!)
Anyways... I haven't had time or money to try and switch the floofs to commercial frozen and whole raw foods since I left my job in San Antonio, and haven't found a job yet. But, I am in school again (for machine technology) and should be getting a job soon. At least they still love freeze-dried and dehydrated raw!
Also, just today... we got a new ferret! The poor guy had been to two homes before (the first being a little boy who found out he was allergic to ferrets, and the second being a pothead who's cat kept attacking him... he was brought back to petco twice!)
He is by far the biggest marshall ferret I have ever seen! He has to be at least 4 pounds! Our biggest ferret before him, Reks, only weighs in at 2.2-2.5 (depending on the time of year). He is a big sweetheart, and is definitely going to be a lap-ferret/cuddler 
So, the name Bantha fit him perfectly (because he's a gentle giant and it's a star wars reference)!
I missed the forum, and look forward to being a part of it again
