sh-emp oil?

The raw pet food place i got to has this oil. This one is suppose to be organic.
My question is about the hemp/and coconut oil in it. Is this ok for ferrets? SHe says it's okay for cats.

Just googled "coconut oil and ferrets". Turns out Wysong's puts it in their archetypal 2, so I can't see it being toxic. Don't know it will do them a lot of good, but the herring oil would be fine. The hemp seed oil, not a clue, sorry.

Unfortunately, your fuzz cannot process most of the ingredients. You would be much farther ahead to find yourself a really good marine fish oil and some extra virgin olive oil and use those. Organic is awesome but if the creature cannot process vegetable oils then there is little use in giving it.

I can't see it hurting.. If you can give olive oil which is plant based then I don't see why you could not give coconut or hemp oil. I do know that hemp seed contains 5 times more omega 3 fatty acids then flax seed oil and it also has more EFA's then any fish and most fish oil supplements.

I personally have never tried either hemp or coconut oil for my ferrets nor have I ever heard of anyone using it for theirs. However considering I DO give mine olive oil I figure if I ever get a chance to buy some hemp oil I will give it a try since they are both plant based products.

I've given my ferrets emu oil but this is the first time I've heard anything about hemp oil.
