We got a new baby last night! 
It wasn't planned, my daughter and I went to petco Monday because I was looking for some red bellied newts. While we were there we made the mistake of looking at the weasles. My daughter started in on getting another one but I stayed strong and said no. We are getting a skunk this summer and I just sent in my depoit to the breeder.
Then yesterday we were all siting at the table playing a game and the ferrets came up in conversation. Long story short we now have a new baby boy! LOL! My daughter named him Rapheal and he was two months on Monday.
He is doing so awesome, the girls sniffed the heck out of him when he first came home, they all get along great. He used the litter box in the cage so that is a plus. Last night we had roast beef for dinner and I gave him some. He loved that. This morning I gave him a piece of a chicken neck and he was all over it. VERY pleased with that!
Last night he romped all over the house, played with us and our chihuahua (Rio loves the ferrets ) and then crashed out on my chest under a blanket. This morning when I let everyone out of the cage he was following me around, checking out the house more, played with whoever would play, ate and is now sleeping with one of he cats in the dog bed.
He just acclimated so quickly to our household. It's great.

It does kind of "just happen", doesn't it?
at least it specifies black and white ones are illegal as pets...so i guess another color would be accepted??
