With my baby boy, I have to hold him down and rub under his chin, AND rub is belly at the same time, till he is forced to drifts off to sleep. Sometimes we get a nice cuddle in, like today, but usually it only lasts a few minutes then he's off and running again. Lol Anyone else with a reluctant cuddler?

Haha, both my girls are reluctant cuddlers. Pixie will cuddle if she's tired. Trixie almost never cuddles. She is always going, going, going.... She's only a year old, so she might slow down a bit when she's older.

I have one - Pixie. She used to be really bad when she was younger, but now that she's a bit older she's calmed down and she'll let me hold her as long as I don't try kissing/petting her. She'll sometimes sniff the side of my face like, "okay, yes, you're a good human, now put me down - this is embarrassing for both of us," or something. I'm convinced I'll win her over one day!

My Calvin will never cuddle with me. Not even to save his life. But Martin is a bit better, usually I can pick him up and he'll just lay there licking my arm. But even then it only lasts for like... 5 minutes. But he isn't even a year old yet. So I bet that he'll be more of a cuddler when he grows up a bit more

LOL I"m convinced as well that he will either learn to love it or just get tired of resisting me! He's only 7 months so i try not to force myself on him too often but he's soo darn cute it's hard!

In my main group I have no cuddlers, but my most recent rescue, who know goes by the name Godiva, is a cuddler! hooray for me I finally have a baby that likes to cuddle... pick her up and stuff her in my shirt so she's nice and warm and she curls up and goes to sleep....though I do need to trim her nails...

I hope if it ever happens, my ferret will be willing to spend his/her whole life snuggled up to me and constantly reminding me they are real:).

I honestly don't know what ferret cuddling is My three don't like to be held for more than about two seconds before they're ready to move on

Lol, my four are no cuddlers. Bonkers was the first we got, and he didn't mind cuddling, but he seemed to grow out of it.
Lincoln will cuddle when he's really tired, but that's it. For Booth, we also have to hold him down and rub his stomach and chin in order for him to let us hold him haha

He is my reluctant eater as well so I guess its only right. He likes to sleep upside down and so he will lay with his head hanging over the side of my arm (nose pointed toward the floor) and I have .1 milisecond to start scratching his neck or he will run away, if i start scratching quickly enough, he will stay for maybe a minute if I am lucky. Kahlua loves being in my arms, she will fallow me around in attempts to climb my leg if I havent cuddled her at least 2x during a play period, lol. If I am playing video games she will crawl up on the couch to cuddle me, unless Tequila is on the couch in which case she has been known to drive him off of it lol

I've found as mine get older, some of them are more willing to cuddle for short periods of time. I think(from everything I've read on forums), that the more they are out of cage, the more willing they become to cuddle. When they only get 4-5 hours out of cage time for the most part, they have a need to play/run/sleep in various places than they do for a snuggle for more than a few minutes

Mine are never locked in the cage and they still have no interested in being touched They're all less than a year old though.

That could definitely have something to do with it
