Hello to anyone who reads this. i'm a new ferrant to my ferret Carlos. He's about 4 and a half months old. he's feisty! I fell in love with him but couldnt get him for about a month after i found him and to my surprise he was still there when i was all set up and ferret proofed. I think it was meant to be! My name is kate, I'm an EMT, going to school for nursing and a newbie to ferrets. right now he's my only ferret but that'll change. We give him lots of love and entertainment Attachments:

Welcome to the forum! Feel free to browse around and ask lots of questions. Everyone is friendly and helpful and no question is considered silly. Does your little fuzzy eat raw? If not and you're interested in switching, check out the nutrition threads and consider signing up for a mentor. It's a great way to get one-on-one help with all your questions and concerns during your switch. holisticferret.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=newbie&action=display&thread=3454

Your guy is young so a switch shouldn't be too difficult for you but I'd recommend you read up on raw and if you think it's the way you want to go, start the switch without delay. The older a ferret gets, the less willing it is to try new foods and the harder it'll be to switch.

you're awesome for having the patience to wait and do the work before getting him, it really does pay off in the end (I was one of those rather foolish "get them and *then* learn about them" type people, ugh. I made up for it, though, and haven't stopped learning new things since LOL). He's a handsome baby, and I'm sure he's loving his new home.
Like everyone else said, poke around the forum - it's filled with awesome info and awesome people ready to coo over pictures or help with any questions you have!

Hi and welcome not only to the forum but to being owned by a fuzz. Please feel free to prowl, read and most definitely ask questions. Everyone's friendly. Please realize there are no stupid questions, if you're thinking of it either someone has already asked or should, so ask away. As everyone has already pointed you to the various sections. I will just welcome you and your fuzz and request pictures of your furbaby....we love pics ciao
