All that money I spent on toys for Miko and the little thief manages to get a hold of THIS and it her new fav toy!! Yes that is a sippy cup valve. Your guess is as good as mine on how she got it! She likes to play in the dish washer when I'm loading it so she may have swiped it then and has kept it hid except for when she's out playing. Here is another one of her fav toys. Daddy's stinky work shoes!

Ahahaha! When I took care of a couple of ferrets they immediately gravitated towards my husband's stinky work shoes, too! XD (It was funny to see them halfway in, realizing the tunnel didn't continue, but going back to check and see if that had changed periodically.)

My Trixie has a shoe problem.... She has about 5 stacked in a corner. She periodically moved them around to new spots. She used to love socks too, but we had to confiscate them due to her eating them. Pixie has a thing for pens and pencils. So almost every pen has the ink removed from it, pencils have erasers removed and lead taken out

Jack is a notorious wallet thief. On thanksgiving one of my friends had put her purse on the floor (mistake) and somehow in the commotion of cooking and what-not, we didn't notice Jack remove her (huge) wallet from the bag and stash it. Midnight that night she called and asked if she had somehow left it behind. It took me about 3 seconds to remember Jack was running loose and I knew exactly where it should be. Flipped the couch and sure enough he had it tucked up in the under side of the couch. He seems to not have a preference for leather or any certain material - any wallet will do. I used to wonder if his previous owner trained him to steal wallets, like the pick-pocket monkeys.

Watch her with that - she could chew it up and end up with a blockage. Jackie that is too funny! Koda's thing was gloves. I always get - or rather used to always get - those little wool-cotton (whatever they are) gloves in the winter time. I'd get all different colors because I like matching. When not in use I'd ball them up like you do with socks. Koda LOVED them. They all mysteriously disappeared and even after totally clearing out all of his stashes several times, they still kept randomly appearing for months after. I had to take them all away because he would eat holes in them. The wooly fabric must have felt good on his gums. I also take the lead/erasers/ink out of pencils for Koda to stash! He still seems to think that the pencil I am writing with though is the far better option. Probably because it still has a great, chewy thing (eraser) on it still.

Haha, every couple weeks or so I have to clear out Pixie's stash of pens and pencils because I don't have any left to write with I realized Trixie was eating my socks when I her poo was blue. I remembered she had a blue sock in her cage and there was a small little hole in it. She was very angry at me when I took them away (she did a lot of hissing and complaining). I think the lack of socks has sent her shoe habit into over drive. She used to have 2-3, now she has about 5 (more if she can get a hold of them). Maybe she needs to go on "Intervention" for her addition ?

I think so! Watch the soles of the shoes however, they are rubber and chewy. And shoelaces make great teeth cleaners.

Haha, shoe laces have already been removed. She decided those were an okay replacement for socks. Trixie hasn't started chewing on the soles yet, but then again she didn't always eat socks, either

They were the ONE thing that was safe from his jaws...until I got so good at ferret proofing that there was no longer anything else remotely rubbery for him to chew on. Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess?

Yeah I finally got the sippy cup valve from her last night. That little bugger is FAST and I haven't learned all her hiding places yet. But yeah she ALMOST managed to get her entire body in the hubby's work boot. It's SO funny to see this boot with ferret butt sticking out the top. I tried to get pic of that but no luck. Whats REALLY funny is when she tries to get in the girls shoes. LOL My girls are still little (6yr old and 2 yr old) so their shoes are small. Miko can barely fit her head in but she dang sure tries!
