Today we went to the vet for a "qualitiy of life" check-up. This last month she's really gone downhill with her insulinoma issues... I thought she would at least make it to her lupron appointment on the 17th, but yesterday was particularly rough and she gave me a look that just said she was ready if I could bear it, so I scheduled the appointment knowing it was very likely the vet would agree and Ovana wouldn't be coming back alive. She did...she walked me through the process and let me be with Ovana the whole time, the experience was very peaceful and quick. We came home and let the other ferts say their goodbyes (licks and cuddles from everyone) before burying her near the garden. She was a beautiful, sweet girl and I'm glad we were able to make her last year comfortable as possible and full of love after everything she'd been through with her previous owner. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss the pictures you posted of her inspire me to my very core to this day to provide a good life for my dears

Oh, justahannah! I am so very, very sorry to hear about your baby girl  I remember those pics when you first posted them. She came so very far with you, and knew what it was to be loved, and relatively healthy again. She was a beautiful little girl  |

I'm so sorry for your loss =/ they leave us entirely too soon.. but you gave her a wonderful life and it shows in the pictures you posted.

I am very sorry for your loss! Ovana was an amazing little girl, and you were an amazing mom for her. She would have never been able to grow her thick beautiful coat out, would never have known love. <3 She'll be waiting for you at the bridge, telling all the other animals about how much her mum loved her. Again, I'm sorry she had to leave. RIP, little girl

I'm so sorry! You gave Ovana everything that she needed, love, playtime, good food, and friends to dook with...the past year and a half you gave her were probably the best she'd had. A special prayer will be said for both you and Ovana.

Oh sweet Ovana, you've been through so much. You came so far but damage incurred during your previous rough life tired you, wore you down. A candle is lit do guide your little paws on your next journey, your newest adventure. You have your key, you tiny little thief of hearts, your entry is guaranteed. You will be greeted by the others who have made this journey, they will play with you, snuggle with you while you wait. Oh, little Ovana could you look behind you on your journey, there is a little one just like you who will be following you. Could you please look out for her?

Im really sorry . I remember those pictures too, it is truly amazing how much she improved with you. She was very lucky to have found you to make her last year wonderful and to help her to the bridge. *Hugs* to you and all your fuzzies while you go through this. |

Oh no! :,( I am sorry for your loss. What you did for her was amazing and I know that she appreciated it. She may have deserved more good years, but at least - thanks to you - she had some! Without you she would have not had any, and would have died a long time ago - You gave her another chance to live and be a ferret. I am sorry that she left you so soon. |

Please accept my condolences for your loss. You did a wonderful thing taking in this pretty girl. The before and after pictures are a testament to anyone even beginning to consider a raw diet for their cat/dog/ferret. Such an inspiration, I'm so thankful she found a home with such a wonderful and caring person as you!
