I currently use the Marshall Litter. The grey pelleted ones.
What kind do you use? I've seen some of you use what looks like cat litter but maybe it's the wheat litter? Aren't you worried about digging? Did you start with that or make a switch?
Let me know!

I use yesterday's news and it's been ok, I switched from a clumping cat litter so the yesterdays news is better for the ferrets but I'm still looking for a way to keep the odor down a bit more (I have 9 fuzz currently)

I use World's Best Cat litter. It clumps but is all natural and really helps with the odor. My girls refuse to use the pellets (I think they don't like standing on them). I previously used CareFresh, and that stuff was terrible. Never held in odors and had to be replaced often. Now I just scoop and top it off when needed.

I use wood stove pellets -- about $4 for a 40lb bag, in this region of the country. They're available year-round here. I did NOT like them when I was using a normal litter box, as when they break down they turn to sawdust and it would be tracked all over the cage; plus, a small amount of pellets doesn't do much for odor. Now, I have the entire bottom level of the FN143 as a giant litter box, and I absolutely love the wood pellets. I probably wouldn't recommend them for city or apartment living. We're out in the country, so we can just dump the used stuff outside.
Anytime you use a new litter, leave plenty of old used stuff in it to remind them what the box is for. New things are immediately viewed as toys, and they'll dig in it until the novelty wears off. It was non-stop racket and sweeping for two days after we gave the ferts a huge new "dig box" of wood pellets.

World's best in my house. I was skeptical of it (its just corn) but it really is amazing. And trust, I've tried them all

I use yesterdays news. I've tried just about everything I think, I do like the clumping ones, worlds best and shweat scoop, but they track way too much all over the ferret room and they get it in their water bowls like mad. Wood stove pellets break down too fast into sawdust for my liking. Right now I have four ferrets, two litter pans and go through three or four bags a month, at $5.29 a bag for 13 pounds. God that seems like a ton of litter!

I was using Marshall's but the local store sells it at $14.99 for a 10lb bag, much too expensive. I've since switched to yesterday's news. I have some trouble figuring out when it's actually wet, I like marshall's better for that, but it's much cheaper and that I like. I've considered pine pellets, specifically Equine Fresh, which we use in our litter boxes, but I imagine getting the sawdust out would be a problem. I wouldn't be able to shake it out like I do the cat boxes.
I've thought about the corn based stuff but I'm afraid the adults would eat it.

I use CareFresh. Smell's not so bad with my guys, but it just *tracks* everywhere. I don't know why I don't change to something better ... I just know I probably *won't*. Habit, I guess :-\

World's Best Cat Litter here. I used to use Yesterday's News but the pellets were a pain. Scoopable litter is so much easier.
