i've fed fish before. it was smelt before, this was smelt. i don't know what's wrong, but this morning when i got up i found throw up in their cage. i don't know who did it. but when i fed the fish before this didn't happen. perhaps one of them decided not to eat it the first time? and it didn't go over with her now? i don't know if i should be freaked out or not. ferrets sure know how to get their parents freaked out about them that's for sure.

Is everyone eating now? playing? Sometimes, food eaten too fast or it doesn't sit well, it comes back up and it's nothing more than that. Kibble fed ferrets will dehydrate very quickly (they're always on the point of dehydration, vomiting a couple of times will put them in the danger zone) A raw fed ferret can have a stomach upset, empty the offending meal and will be fine with little to no problems. I would observe, offer meals that you know they eat well and enjoy. The last time everything went fine, maybe someone got a fin stuck in their throat and they retched up their dinner. It may be nothing that occurs again. ciao

I have to be very careful whenever I give smelt. Lucrezia thinks it's candy She'll down hers, and then try to eat everyone else's while she's at it End result? Smelt coming back up again
