Newbie from Ohio

Hello there! I'm a proud fur mom to my 2 boys Finnigan (4) and Dirk (2.5), 2 dumbo ratties and a painted turtle.

I just made a post concerning a spinal cord injury Dirk has that was just discovered at the vets today, I am devastated at the vets diagnosis...she said eventual total paralysis and euthanasia.

I just want to do the best thing I can for him while he is still here, provide him the best care possible...I adore my baby boy and am in shock over this...and very unsure as to how and when it happened...??

I am also on this forum because I would very much like to switch my boys over to a holistic way of eating/living, the bagged kibble that is in the stores is just becoming worse and worse, with the formula changes and added fillers and junk they are throwing in there.

My goal is to learn as much as possible while on here and I hope to meet some fellow fuzz butt fanatics while I'm at it

Oh, I'm so sorry about your little boy. I don't have any helpful info about that, but my sympathies ;_;

I think all of us ferrents are pretty obssessed - it comes with the territory Hopefully you'll learn a lot and enjoy the forum!

If you check out your thread you will find that a couple of us have posted in regards to Dirk. You may be able to work things for your little boy yet A healing candle is lit for your boy. Please feel free to prowl the site there is some interesting threads that you might find helpful for you little one. My little girl's spinal damage hasn't progressed and though she stumbles and falls a lot her quality of life isn't diminished and she loves to snuggle (one of the few little girls that have lived here that do) Ask questions, check out threads....everyone's friendly and more than willing to offer a hand.
