At work we often end up with those small fleece blankets heading to the garbage, they are giveways by various charities in the mail and have various designs on them but they are medium sized, great for ferrets, soft and no feeling bad about tossing them if they get chewed or icky. I have 7 or so still sealed in plastic unopened free to anyone that can use them, I use to go through a lot but they are building up! Great for crate bedding for small foster dogs or whatever too.

I wish we lived closer, my guys would love those blankies. I often use soft fleecies in their hammies. I'm sure your wonderful offer will be accepted by someone and some fuzzies are going to be very happy and warm . ciao

If nothing else, you could always take them to your vet's office. I frequently collect up older towels, etc. that are being replaced by my clients, and turn them over there. They go through a TON of bedding for the animals in their care on a regular basis. You could call them and ask if they could use them.

Is there a shelter nearby? They would appreciate them! Where do you live? I like blankets. I am sure a shelter would love the donation though!

I can ship them, our shelter doesn't put stuff like that in the cages but I can ask the vet office if they have a use for them.

Did you ever end up giving these blankies to anyone?

I ended up putting them in a xmas box to a ferret rescue in my state. If you can use them let me know and I'll keep grabbing them from work, hate to see perfectly good blankies trashed.

I can use some free blankies ... With 4 ferrets and a rattie I go through quite a bit of laundry. Also the laundry mat is acoss the complex and I have to walk all my laundry over there since i don't have a car. So having extra clean things would be wonderful.

If you do happen to have some extra, my two girls would be very happy with fleece It's one of the few fabrics Trixie doesn't enjoy eating.
