Very cute!!!! I can just see it now...you'll end up with a third ferret at the rate you're looking at cute pictures!!!!! -jennifer My limit is 4... 4 is and always has been my number. Each individual has a pair, and each pair has a pair, there is no outsider so no "1" is lonely, each corner has a match, Two 2's, Two time two is 4, two plus 2 is 4. [Did I mention that with my OCD, all of my compulsions are in 4s?] 4 is my magical number - it is perfect. That said, right now, I have my hands more than full with the Dynamic Duo! Between hand feeding Koda (update on that soon in the health section ), giving meds and supplements and Rescue Remedy, re-potty training (Koda has decided that if Kenai used the litter box, it is contaminated and he must not go in it but rather, must mark his territory all around the box. ), figuring out and distributing 2 different diets, trying to get them to enjoy being in the same cage.... Yes, right now 2 is plenty! Shane and I have one for each lap. Shane says he thinks 2 is the perfect number. I still would not mind 4. But not right now. I think my next one would be a DEW.... Maybe a female.

Beautifully marked. Only going by her markings probably deaf . Absolutely stunning, though. I can see why people buy the more exotic coloured ferrets. They are indeed beautiful. I think after my studies this year and having my little rescues that I will stick to the more basic and original ferret colours....the sable and the albinos. This is my latest and greatest This is Yuri. He's a 4 or 5 yr old male. Deaf as a stump. Now that his new raw coat has come in he's showing some fantastic colouration. He's I believe a silver mutt. He does have a beautiful lightning stroke blaze (which of course you cannot see ) ciao

Yuri's colouring is still changing, though I'm going to guess that it's basically reached the colour and depth of markings now (unless he DEWs out). He has a very expressive little face. His colouring originally was of a washed out ...or a roaned sable. Since starting on his raw diet, he's become a silver with a close dense undercoat. It's really too bad that like Fun-Go, he never learned proper ferret communications because finding him a proper playmate has all but ended with failure He and Napoleon play and get along (Napoleon plays with everyone) but other than that out of 10 ferrets he gets along with none. ciao

Four.....Pooka hates everyone. I figure at her age (9 or 10) she has a right to some peace and quiet. She decided when her cage mate (Babushka) died that she hadn't been that happy sharing space with Babushka, so she didn't need to have friends (the two fought like little grannies ...they would each sit in a separate hammy and scream at each other...there was never anything physical) I tried her with everyone (including Yuri) I thought they could at least prowl around the house together...but no it was hate at first sight and it never got better. I figure between her age, advancing adrenal that she probably hasn't got that much longer so she might as well have the solitude she wants. When everyone goes to bed she has the whole house to herself and until recently (the last couple of days) she has wandered around and enjoyed herself. ciao

My old lady Trouble became an "only ferret" after Hocus and Pocus came along, too. She had absolutely no interest in these two idiot hellions that had replaced her two sweet, placid lifelong friends. After five minutes with the new boys she'd be chattering like a banshee. She lived the rest of her life alone in a super pet cage with her own playtime, and was much the happier for it. (On a side note, you need to update your signature, Heather... you always talk about fuzzies whose faces we can't see!)
It's hard not to like some of the patterns Marshalls is stumbling upon. I saw a kit at a Petco that looked like a dalmation! White with small broken black and silver patches on its body. It's such a shame the interesting look comes at the price of their health... and I can't remember the last time I saw an actual sable at the pet store.

**On a side note, you need to update your signature, Heather... you always talk about fuzzies whose faces we can't see!)** Oh.....I know I've even had a generous hurricanecatt offer to fix up a new banner for me too (I'm horribly computer illiterate). I've been negligent. I need to get a pic of Boris (which I have now) and Natasha (who won't stand still long enough for me to stop getting butt shots ). I will get get my banner updated, when I get her little face pic....you're right I'm the only one on board right now who really should have "to those that have gone before" written on their banner, as almost everyone of those little faces have passed on ciao

This looks so much like my female Pandora now, she used to look like this as a kit, I can't believe how much she changed, she was a lovely choc. color before and has lost almost all that in the rear to this light and silver appearance. This is the best pic I could find of her color now, from last year
