I'm Ashley, I live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I have been married for about 5 yrs and we have two handsome boys James 3 and Holden 2. Along with our human family we have 2 furkids. They are mine but I share with the family and we all love them lol I recently renamed them, My female is 1 and her name is Mischa and my male is about 8 or 9 mo. and his name is Bosco. We used to have a Guinea pig name Pig but my husband was really allergic to him so we had to give him back . We have had a rat named Templeton. A blue budgie name Skeet/Parakeet he flew away from home , we have had different kinds of fish. My favorite fishies were the Figure 8 Puffer and the Cichlids. Puffer used to eat Crab out of my hand. We haven't had a dog or cat yet b/c we want to wait until he own our own home so we don't have to worry about not being able to rent a place. Over the time we have had all those different kind of animals I have learned so much about them just b/c I was curious and just to be sure they were okay. I definitely did my research lol. I know I shouldn't say this but my ferrets are my little babies and I think they are by far the best pet that has fit with our family. The are so playful and Bosco loves to be cuddled and scratched. They just interact a lot with my family and I love that.
I found this site when I was searching the internet for foods. We are low on kibble and I wanted to try something new. As my search was going I found other information about what is in kibble that is bad for ferrets and I saw information about raw diets and I started to read up on it and then I found this site. In the past without knowing about raw diets I have tried giving them cooked chicken breast and I have but a chicken bone in there cage.. they didn't care for it. Now that I have read up on it more I realize no wonder they didn't take it I was going the wrong way about it lol. I am now reading more and more on this site and making notes. I have gave the raw soups and they will do fine on it just need to make to chunky and work my way up and make a better meal plan.
About me- I love to learn and try to things. I look up stuff just for the fun of it. I'm creative I love spending time with my family and being outdoors and trying new things. I'm originally from Missouri and I'm never going back unless it's to visit family. I plan to go to school someday and maybe do something with animals or something that I am passionate about. As the my boys get bigger I plan to have them help others humans and animals in need. I want to teach them how to give and how to help even when they get nothing in return.
About my Mischa and Bosco- Mischa was a birthday gift I got from my birth dad and we got Bosco a short time after that b/c I wanted her to have a playmate plus more fun and more personality. At 1st my husband was a no go with 2 ferrets but I got him to say yes b/c I know deep down inside he loves and cares for them lol. Mischa at 1st was a feet nipper and sooo full of energy. Bosco was a nipper too and a rough player. As they got a little older they settled down with the nipping. They are still full of energy of course. Bosco is such a big lug and Mischa is so little. But that doesn't stop her from trying to take him out and jump on him. Bosco is our cuddle bug he come up to my leg to ask to be picked up and Mischa is our explorer. They go on walks or just play outside. Bosco like to take naps on my while we lay out in the sun. He also like to still sippy cups and hide them behind the couch. Mischa likes to hide the soft toys and my slippers behind the couch. I'm sorry if I'm rambling on about Mischa and Bosco.. this is the only place I can really go into detail about how much they mean to me and brag a little.
Anyways here is a little about me. If you have any questions please feel free to ask
I'll post pictures of them. I don't know how to attach them right now but I'll learn.
Mischa is the silver mitt blaze. She is deaf. You can't really see the blaze spots in the pictures.
Bosco is the Siamese Sable. His mask used to be covering his face more but as winter approached it lost some of it's darkness
