I have a lot of reptiles so I generally have some crickets, mealworms, kingworms on hand. I fed my ferts some crickets as a snack and they both liked them. I was wondering if anyone else has fed bugs to their guys? How often would you say you could? Once a week? Once every other week? Month? lol Maynard loved them and so did Alessa but they made Alessa barf. lol Alessa saying No to crickets lol

My kids regurgitate bugs faster than they eat them - especially the crickets. I think a lot of bugs may have a bitter taste. Just be sure to use feeder bugs because"wild bugs" can carry other bugs and toxins. Wax worms/super worms are particularly nutritious. I put the bugs in a small plactic swimming pool when I was trying this. the tub also will work. We get these miller moths every June...the girls will hunt them in the house - the boys could care less. Tomichi likes the kill but will not eat them. Kachina will follow Tomichi around and snarf down Tomichi's kills. Tomichi is the "Killer Queen" jennifer

Don't worry, no wild bugs will be fed here. Got enough reptiles that eat bugs to have that fact drilled into my head. Haha I wanna get a hold of some Silk Worms. My dragons love those and they're so nutritious too. I wonder if the fur-kids would like them as well... They'll be like ferret gummy bears.

I've found a few crickets in sly's cage - I don't think he cares about them, but I think it would be cute too feed.

I have tried crickets but Koda barely even glanced at them.

Several of my kids will devour crickets and superworms. Some have caught the occasional house spider. Superworms are relatively easy to grow your own.

My guys used to find bugs and eat them/leave the husks. I never liked *that* because I didn't know how safe it was, even though now it makes me wonder if I should try feeders, as well (I just don't know what I'd do if they didn't want to eat them. Which, knowing them, they would refuse, since I'm offering it and it's no longer a NO NO :\ ).
When we first moved up here, I thought they were chasing a worm that had somehow gotten into their room. I went to go intercept, and found out it was a snake when it struck out at me and almost got me, which, if you aren't used to being around those critters (ME), can be unsettling, to say the least (although I found out it was just a little Eastern Ringneck who'd been living in our a/c unit closet, with three other snakes, prior to us moving in)!
