Hi, I am from Germany Nuremberg. I`m 46 years young, I breed for several years ferrets. Search on this path, according to new ferret lines. What I seek is a free line without inbreeding. Of course with pedigree. Maybe I'll find the right for my breeding in Germany. Best wishes Birgit

Hallo! Welcome to the forum! I lived in Germany for a while and I miss it a lot. It is a beautiful place with an amazing culture. Read around the forums, and feel free to ask any questions. While my German is pretty bad right now - I'm out of practice - I'd be happy to try and help if there's anything you need translated. Your English seems pretty good though, so I doubt you'll need me. lol What do you mean by a free line? I don't know a ton about breeding.

I think she means a line where there's been no inbreeding for a few generations. And welcome to the forum We'd be very happy if you'd show us some pics of your little ones, and tell us a bit about them, as well as your experiences in breeding!

Hi, I have a translation program. And so it goes pretty easy. Read and understand I'm doing pretty good just writing something that's difficult. Exactly what I mean by that inbreeding Free
Best wishes Birgit

Hi and welcome We do have a number of ferret breeders on board but I don't believe (unless they've failed to hop in and introduce themselves) that any of them are located in Germany. There are a couple that are closer than we are though . You are more than welcome to prowl, and include yourself in the many ongoing discussions. A breeder's point of view is always welcomed. I wish you luck in finding a breeder that doesn't line breed. How far back to you want a clean outcrossed lineage. Most breeders eventually do slide back in and use a ferret from that particular ancestral line, to reinforce certain aspects that they're trying to hi-light or bring to the forefront. As everyone is also screaming for, pictures are always welcome . ciao
