Will the food processor make things as small as a blender would? I found some pretty inexpensive food processors at target.com and think the motor may be able to take the bone from mice and rats better than a blender.

For grinding bone, I personally would go with a food processor. . When pureeing mice for Delilah I cut them up by hand. Toss them in the food processor. Then I take that and mix it in the blender.
The vitamix (or something like that) is apparently a quite popular processor-thingy.

aha so the food processor won't really give me the fine puree that they like or will it work by iteself?

OIC well I'm going to target tommorow and getting a $30.00 hamilton beach or a smaller one not sure yet. I can wait to see my mom's reaction when she sees me griding up mice.

Be careful with what you put in the food processor. Mine has some real nice nicks out of it from processing bones. A grinder would work better if you can get it. JMO ciao

I use my oster blender, and that thing is a workhorse. It must be at least 10 yrs old by now, and yet it get through a whole chicken leg like butter, and purees it into milk. Somehow I couldn't see myself tossing in a whole mouse and blending it into pulp, there's a point I just cannot cross.

I use the 10 speed HamiltonBeach blender myself (the one made for ice). It has had no problems with chicken bones or mice (frozen or thawed).
