Here's a good one......unflavored gelatin (like jello without all the sugar, color, flavorings) with minced liver and meat juices.
It's great, messy fun in the bath tub. the brat love the way it wiggles!!!!

How would one go about making that? I love the idea of edible toys! haha Right up Koda's alley. Frozen mice work well, but I want other ideas. Great idea Aaron!

Love this idea! ... though i have no ideas to add! lol I will be reading and hoping you all are more creative then i am! The 'jello' would you make the same way you make regular jello? I believe they have unflavoured gelatin at the bulk barn.

just buy plain gelatin in the supermarket. its used to make things like aspic and other strangely shaped "salads". When you measure the water put meat juices in as a substitute for part of the water. You may have only a couple of tables spoons. you make the gelatin according to the package directions and mix in some chopped or ground meats. Te rest is just like making jello. Serve in the bath tub since this gets messy. My brats love this game. I haven't done this one in a long time, but I used to make "faux prey". I get a thin cut of meat and that I can use to wrap chunks of organ meats . I secure the meat package with a thin raw bone. hanging chunks of meat from a shower curtain hook i the cage also provides some fun. And of course, foraging cups also provide entertaining foods as well. I'm really glad the rats do not have opposing thumbs - otherwise there would be food fights in my house -jennifer

One of my ideas is something on a harmless string, maby a peace of dried meat, that moves 14 m.p.h. for 20 feet into a box that locks it up. To open it pull the handle on the box and it fires out 20 feet. Its a working thought no details yet.
