That is just adorable. You'd better hope that kitten doesn't grow up to find Maine Coon in it's heritage ciao

Yeah I was told he's half Maine Coon so if he gets as big as he should, I don't know how he's going to even fit through the opening into the second story of the FN. But knowing cats he'll find a way. Just have to make sure he doesn't get too fat and buy some reinforced hammocks

Very cute kitty. I love cats but my hubby on the other hand does not. So I probably wont ever own a cat, unless I really work on him, but I guess I thought the same thing about a ferret and he got me one for our anniversary.

So sweet! Our cat Kyou does the same thing, except he just flops on top any ferret bold enough to sleep in HIS hammock. I hear protest hisses from the ferts when it happens and they squirm out to find another spot but Kyou doesn't care .

Yeah I never realized how much cats enjoy hammocks until I got ferrets They should market more cat hammocks. Edit: Now that I look, there are a few out there. Some of them look pretty nice but I'd be afraid that after spending all that money, he wouldn't even use it

That's true. I was looking at this one www.catabove.com/snhappe.html We'll have to see how much money I get for my birthday, see if I can afford some new fuzz luxuries

Awww. When our two cats were kittens we closed off the bottom level of the FN for an overnight crate. When they got bigger they wanted back in all the time! And now we don't even have a hammock that would fit one of them, much less both and a ferret. I think Trouble was tattling on him in this one... As for cat hammocks, with a little bit of work you can make your own: crittergeek.com/?p=86

"He's in my hammock!" Somehow when I try to make my own things, they end up costing more and looking worse than the store bought products I guess I don't know the right places to get my raw materials for cheap

I know exactly what you mean! Luckily my husband is very handy and can usually build or assemble something, plus we both have degrees in art that help to fake it when neither of us know what we're doing... But half the time it's still just cheaper and easier to buy something. Usually I don't realize that until I'm halfway through a mess and cursing, though.

I came home to find Rem taking up the whole ferret bed (and more) while keeping Tonks warm. Excuse the messy cage and litter box, they're getting washed tomorrow

Sometimes they really do get along don't they. These are my guys, actually...Napoleon and his cross-species friends He's the only one of the furkids that's allowed to share space. For some reason all the rest of the brats don't get this privilege, but then Napoleon grew up from kit with everyone here (except for Mithrandir the wolfhound but then Napoleon had lived with two other dogs already and had learned to respect their space) ciao
