So, today we went and picked up a rescue. I had been informed of their situation (and since I was close to them and had been looking to expand my business) encouraged to meet them. Well, I did, and I realized the little guy needed me. So, we took him in and renamed him (from Gizmo) Hiko. He's had a long day, and we've had a few surprises (he bit me so hard my palm is swollen and I have a very nice puncture mark), but my guys have been absolutely amazing and very, very sweet with him (although they didn't like him biting me. In fact Sian went over, twisted his neck skin until he squeaked, and he hasn't tried it again. OMG, Sian's my cute little guard dog). As of right now, Yogi's cuddling him in the cage. They really don't like him being separate from them, and throw a fit when I tried it (because I thought everyone could use a break. Guess I was wrong). So, yay, soon we may have an integrated, expanded business! So far he's chewed on a heart (duck or turkey I don't know, I didn't label the bags), he's eaten a small piece of boneless turkey thighs dusted with kibble (some fruit infused horror from wal-mart, I'm trying to get him on raw as quickly as I can, omg). He's also had pumpkin he ate from Sian's bowl. He loved that But here, so it's not all text, some pictures! (he's so light compared to my guys, he almost glows)

He's really adorable. He looks of good weight despite the horrible food he had. I'm sure he didn't mean to bite you. It's hard on them switching homes, they have a tendency to lash out when they're nervous. I'm glad that everyone's getting along though. Give the little one a big hug from me and don't forget the rest of them, for being such big hearted little ferts and taking in a foundling ciao

Such a cute little guy! He almost looks like a very light silver, like my Zeus. And it sounds like he might be a really easy switch! Eating the raw already

He is a light silver, actually. I find it fascinating (I've had one cinnamon boy years ago, the rest of mine have been sable). He's bit me twice, and my mom once, but he's settled now, and he doesn't have that upset, frenetic energy that he had this afternoon \o/
Believe me, my guys are getting a lot of attention. I'm a really lucky ferrent to have a business as accepting and helpful as they are ;D

He is cute! And what I wouldn't give to have seen little Sian protecting his Mommy. How sweet of him to guard you so faithfully and put the new rascal in line. Congrats.

Sian is a sweetie, and she's the one still a bit unsure of him (she'll greet him, but she won't cuddle with him like Yogi and Pixie will). Hiko's eating the kibble-dusted thighs regularly now, and on his own, so \o/ He's addicted to sweet things (his previous owners fed him gummi bears on top of that kibble, and there were candy wrappers in the hammock they sent with him), but I think he's also craving real protein, too, the way he can't stop eating the turkey *once* he starts (it's just he seems to "forget" that the meat is food at the beginning of each meal, but Pixie [my other older switch] was much the same way in the beginning, and if that's the only problem we have, I'll be so very happy ) Ferret math - it gets us all :\
