I can't believe it - my guys actually ate whole prey last night! It's awesome, considering the colorful and futile ways I mutilated frozen-thawed mice to try (and fail) to get my guys to eat them. I'm thinking if I stick with feathers we'll be good! Now, I'll slowly get them up there eating adult quail

Congratulations...that's fantastic. My guys first prey was quail. They used to fight and bicker over it. I would put the bowls with the quail in the cages with them and all you could hear was munchings and crunchings and the periodic scream as one decided that despite having all those tasty morsels to choose from there was only one piece worth eating ciao

Thanks! My guys do the same thing (no screaming, just hissing though), but I've taken videos of them tussling it out over RMBs

And maybe once they are doing well with the quail- they might decide mice aren't so bad after all
