So, besides the ferts, there are quite a few fuzzies sharing space, as well! We have 5 dogs (Shade, Bronx, Ben, Betty, Dee), 5 cats (Callie, Sabra, Asai, Coda and Kai) and a rabbit (Cinder, my old man) Starting with our kitties: Kai (the baby - we found her just a couple of weeks ago out in our pasture) Asai (another stray we took in about a year and a half ago): Sabra (stray also, took her in along with Asai, both were about 4 weeks old): Coda (he was adopted about a year ago, as a kitten): And here, have a pic of Coda and Kai, taken on Halloween: Callie (our oldest, adopted 11 years ago): not shown because photobucket is mean - definitely later! Dogs: Shade (12 years old): Bronx (11 years. His mother had been killed by her owners and her body was stuffed into a plastic sack, along with all her puppies. Luckily the babies survived, and all found forever homes): Ben (a.k.a. Benny boo, my sweetie-pie, 10 years old. My dad found him as a tiny puppy trying to hunt for food, took my dad to a flowerpot that held his brother): Betty (5 years old, stray we found on the side of the road when she was about 2-3): Dee (a.k.a. Deedee, about 3 years, my older sis left her with us about two years ago, and she's an amazing addition!): not pictured :C And finally, Cinder (my old man rabbit. About 9 1/2 - 10 years now):

Thanks! Living in rural areas - we get a lot of shots at rescuing (not so much with the ferrets, though! Meela will be the first "rescue" ferret for me). Back in North Carolina I worked with CAP and some pittie/rottie rescues, and I really enjoyed it, although there was a lot of heartbreak.

I know what you mean!! I live off a road that doesn't have a yellow line lol. We are on the river and cant see our neighbors, but I am always taking in stray dogs and cats, but since we currently have 5 cats, 2 dogs, and 5 ferrets I hafta find homes for them! But I take care of them until I do. We currently have 2 welfare cats that eat food we put out, but we can't catch them. They look horrible and if I could catch them I would at least get their shots and neuter them, I love kitties! Yours are beautiful, love that little baby!

thanks, everyone and yeah - Cinder's a handsome boy, and his coat feels almost like chinchilla fur - just dense and so, so soft, it's wonderful!
