HI I reside in Canada, have 3 kids, 2 dogs and 3 ferrets! I`m a trained homeopath and treat all my kids/animals/passerbyers (jk) with homeopathy and as naturally as possible. I was quite dismayed when getting our ferrets that all the info was very medical/chemical based. My biggest fear in treating them naturally is they seem to have more sensitives then other animals. Our girls came to us very weak, malnourished, and FILTHY. (really we were only going to take one as a playmate for your boy, but could NOT leave them in those conditions!) I'll post more under medical. anyways thanks for having this forum, looking forward to learning more and getting to know you all!

Hi and welcome to the forum This is great to have a trained homeopath on board. You are so correct about most treatments geared toward ferrets is medical/chemical based. I will be interested in hearing your take on many of the problems we encounter with these little ones. Yes, they're very sensitive to a lot of the treatments that are used on them, but without viable alternatives and the lack of information in general one has a tendency to work with the demons that you know. A ferret's sensitivity is very similar to a cat's if that helps you at all with your quandry. Thank you for taking some poor wee waifs who were in need of a home, they will thank you for the rest of their little lives ciao
