I've been patiently waiting on the local ferret rescue for a ferret to adopt so Jack could have a play-mate (the cats makes poor playmates). I wanted a loner, male or female, so jack wouldn't be odd-man out (in case a bonded pair wouldn't accept him). well I went to petco for litter and fell in-love. I felt guilty at first buying him, but once Jack had a romp session, I lost that bad feeling. He came home friday night, saw the vet saturday and was playing with jack that night. He's VERY vocal. I thought Jack was hurting him because of all the crying and squeaking, but even when he's the one on top he makes the same noises. Jack seems most fond of scruffing him and dragging him under the bed, not in a nurturing way but i think in a thieving kind of way. He is devouring food (raw already, woo hoo!), doesn't bite at all and last night figured out the litter box. I had to go through three different substrates to get him to recognize the litter box as the potty and not the play room (or dinner buffet, yuck!) but i think he's got it now. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=546312803275&set=a.546312693495.2057232.67400173#!/photo.php?fbid=546313007865&set=a.546312693495.2057232.67400173

I'm so glad that Jack loves his new playtoy. That is what he considers him to be too , hence the stashing of the toy under the bed and in other nooks and cranies The squeeking and screaming....you didn't mention his colour here but did in your switching thread.....he could be deaf. Dew's are often deaf and though he does have some silver ticking he could very well be a deafy hence the loud vocalizations. ciao

That is quite possible. My DEW's are both deaf, and both VERY vocal. That said- I've got a sable girl with perfect hearing who is even more vocal than my deafies Some just like to talk!

You can't attach pictures, you have to load them onto facebook, or photobucket or something like that, and then link them.

I had never even thought about the deaf thing, but now its seems very likely. I've startled him a couple of times when i grabbed him from behind. I've never seen Jack startled. Thanks Katt, up until a few weeks ago i was uploading them and then it just stopped. i must have missed a memo somewhere. here's the link to a facebook photo album, mostly brady but some other randoms of Jack www.facebook.com/photo.php?id=67400173&pid=31856114#!/album.php?aid=2057232&id=67400173

Thanks Katt! I'm sooo not good at this stuff yet. No problem! It comes with practice haha She is adorable, and I am a Huge Jack fan I want a little silver girl for Koda. I'll probabl snatch up the next one that comes along bc it's hard to find silvers here much less females :/ it has to feel right too though. Your new little girl is adorable, congrats.

I'm sure Koda would love a little silver sister. She will be much more fun than any other toy and wont be a choking/ blockage hazard.
