Just some pics I took of them today. xD Enjoy! Hammock ferrets! Tikki and Coco Coco up top, Mis and Tikki on the bottom. Tikki. You can see her thin fur, especially where her booty meets her tail. Mis wandering: Coco got a very nice compliment from a ferret breeder at the ferret show we went to yesterday. Apparently, she has the perfect cinnamon color. xD You can see her color spread better here Coco checking the bottle: Coco checking the plant... thing. xD Coco checking to see if she could dig in the pot Mis hits warp speed! Mis being crazy Tikki being a good girl Tikki Mis peeking What? You wanted to take our pictures? Okay, we're right here! see us! Right here, we're close enough for pictures, right? Right?

Thanks! xD I always thought I should be calling Coco a champagne, since cinnamons are supposedly very rare, but I saw a champagne ferret yesterday that had a lot more ruddy-brown color to him than her, where she's got this reddish-milk-chocolate thing going on. The breeder that we were talking to (I forget her name all the time, but she was on that PBS special about ferrets) had an AMAZING cinnamon hob. This boy was just around Mis and Coco's age, he was at least four pounds, his fur was simply gorgeous. She was really proud of him, but she was telling us she loved Coco's color spread, whereas the hob had more of a point pattern going on where his back was much lighter. Mis and Coco were with me at the show, and they both got a few compliments. As soon as I told the breeder lady that they were eating raw, she just nodded and went "So that's why their coats are so silky and smooth". xD I tried to get them to eat some samples from Casey's Hidden Pantry, but the brats apparently didn't want to try anything. OKAY enough of me chatting about the show. Have some more pics, I just went downstairs and found Mis sleeping like this: I guess it's just more comfy that way.

Beautiful pictures....you have plants I have to try and figure a way to get some of my plants upstairs. Of all the things I've given up for the brats, I really miss my plants. Winters are so long and they offer the bit of green that I miss. I have a little girl about the same colour as yours. She's not that colour during the summer, but she is during the winter. She was much paler when I first got her and she was on kibble. Got to love those sleepy positions ciao

Haha, the plants! I got lucky, because my first ferret ever (Pike) wasn't very interested in plants, and then Tikki learned pretty quick that digging would get her timeouts, and she seems to have passed this plant-aversion on to the young ones. Still, that large plant needs to be covered, otherwise all the soil ends up on the floor as soon as I leave the room. xD
You know, I think the same thing goes on with Coco, she tends to be a bit lighter in the summer. She was yellower when I got her, but she was both kibble fed and not very clean at all. xD
Sometimes I wish I had a hammock myself, just so I could try out some of their sleeping positions and see what's so great about them. xD
