Well, technically the spot is gone now, but even the fact it disappeared is worrying me some.
Awhile back, I picked Chaplin up after he'd been digging in a flowerpot, and when he angled his head toward me I noticed a strange spot on his eye. I had my friend scruff him while I gently widened his eyelid, and there was a small, greenish-blue circle on his eyeball, resting on the lens itself. When I tried to dab it away with a wet q-tip (obviously as lightly as possible), it didn't show any interest in budging. Angling his head a little, it looked almost like some kind of weird fungus or something, rooted to the spot. It didn't seem to bother him, even when I touched it.
Chaplin had to visit the vet a few days later after a not-so-friendly experience with a terrier during a walk (D8!), and when I mentioned the spot on his eye, the vet took a peek and said she couldn't see anything (it -was- still there. Even when I pointed it out to her, she said she didn't see a thing).
The spot is gone now, but I still think of it and often find myself peering intently into his little eyeballs searching for Whoville or whatever the heck that was. Internet research turned up empty, so anyone have any idea?

Have you tried posting this on the ferret health list? If the spot you saw could not be found by the vet, maybe you could see something normal under different light condition. Eye color in people can changed based in dietary influence. Plus, there are ferrets ith blue and green eyes, so the possibility of a pigmentation difference that changed may be possible? These are just some thoughts, but I actually have no clue. The important thing is that the vet looked at the eyes, presumably with that bright light shining in, with no health issues. -jennifer

Agh, you're right about the vet, I've been telling myself if she didn't see a problem I should drop the Worrier Princess stance and let it be, but I get it allll from my mom. We're the two most anxious pimples to ever walk the earth. It was a weird discoloration since it seemed to be resting on the outside surface of his eye - I thought it might be some kind of bizarre fungus or trauma from Lucy attacking him, but it's all gone now, so maybe I'll just put up and move on.
