So after a little hiatus I'm hopefully back. There are some financial issues here, so I'm selling two of our cages.
One is a Critter Nation 162 (same as FN 142 except bars are closer together) On the plastic pull out shelf there is a bit of the corner missing on the bottom floor. Otherwise great condition, very clean. $200 since I paid almost $300 just two months ago.
The other is a Richelle expandable play pen. I've ferret-proofed this with 1/4" hardware cloth. It's 5 feet long x 3 feet wide x just over 2 feet high. It's AWESOME. I currently have a 14 foot long black drainage tube in there curled up that they go berserk for, all their toys, a big vacuum cleaner box, 33 quart plastic tote for their dig bog, their litterbox, and a big full size comforter to snuggle in and it's plenty of room for them to play in. It's brand new, not even a month old. There is a hard plastic bottom so they can't escape, as well as a metal top that I've also ferret proofed.
The playpen is really great for people that can't let them free roam for whatever reason (ie: carpet destroyers) but want to give them a big area to play in that they can't get into trouble with. This pen cost me $400 including the top which came seperate and the supplies to ferret proof it, I'm selling it for $300. It is wood and metal, very sturdy, and super easy to expand or contract (just need a screw driver for a couple screws) for wherever you need to put it. This is a link to it here: www.petco.com/product/111161/Richell-Expandable-Pet-Pen-and-Floor-Tray-in-Origami-White.aspx
I have NO problem with either of these cages. I'd really like to keep them but we a) have NO money and b) have NO space. We have another big cage for the ferrets, so they won't care much. Hopefully somone that needs these can put them to use!
I am located in Worcester, MA but can drive to meet you if you live within a few hours of us. Sundays would be best for that since it's my only day off. I imagine that shipping these would be a massive pain in the behind, but if you're really interested I can look into breaking them down if need be.
