That's about the size of it I had to give mine nothing but chicken wings for at least 3-4 day, both morning and evening, before they'd even think about crunching the bones Also- how are they doing eating liver now?

i put about 2 ounces in this morning, and its all gone now, so they ate it. i saw them both have a piece of it, for Pebbles the stuff in mouth method worked to get her to eat it. they didn't touch the chicken though. haha. i think i'll be giving them beef soon. how do you feel about Casey’s Hidden Pantry's treats? because i just bought them a treat hide thing, so i need something to put in it

so i'll be going to the butcher, and be picking up some organs, hopefully. if i don't feel extremely awkward. i'll get some chicken wing tips, if they have some at that time. and maybe some more heart.
so organs are like, lungs, kidney, and so on?

CHP treats are wonderful! My guys go crazy for the S&C carnivore kisses- chicken variety and yes, organs are lung, brain, spleen, thymus, basically any organ that secretes fluid.

well we went to the butcher. there wasn't anything there. so we didn't get anything. i'll see if i can get some CHP treats. would it be fine if i just feed the treats in place of some of the organs? because they don't have that much there. i think ill be going to chinatown tomorrow. hopefully.

ok. thanks. i was just wondering. how much do you pay for a rabbit? about. were going to a farmers market, and i want to check out prices. because if the girls are really good. i think Pebbles will be my hunter. i think belle might just want to cuddle with them. i might just buy one at the petstore, if i can find any that still sell bunnies. my girls are going to be getting mice tonight. as a snack/desert their two weeks old on Tuesday. i think after the girls are good with mice i might get into small rats, for live feeding. MAYBE. haha. i think they still creep me out.

For rabbit, I pay $14.00 for frozen adult rabbits, two pounds and up. When you talk about buying a rabbit at the pet store, are you talking about live feeding? I'd be really hesitant about that. Even young, they can do a LOT of damage. More than rats, I'm thinking. You can talk to Heather about live feeding rats. I know she doesn't do it anymore, simply because even her largest ferret wasn't able to do a clean kill with one she'd gotten in. So the ferrets hunted and killed it as a pack.

i found a place that sells them for 6$ a pound. yea, i guess i wasn't thinking about the damage they could do :S i wasn't thinking about full grown rats, just pups or weans.
i went to the market, and they were out of everything, so were going next weekend, to the one closer to us, their bringing, lots of stuff. hehe. gonna be packed with organs. is tongue ok for them to eat? they had tongue there. i wasn't sure about it. so i didn't get any, but they're bring some next weekend.

Certainly tongue is good for them. Tough muscle meat, lol! Basically any meat that's not been treated somehow is good. Things like ham, bacon, lunch meats, smoked meats, brined meats are what you want to avoid. Everything else is fair game

ok. i know that you don't feed live prey, but perhaps you know something about first time feedings? i tried to give them one last night. and they were horrible. just a few bites here and few bite there. i ended up having to kill it, and in tears. but could it be that they weren't hungry and that's why it was horrible? or are first hunts just bad to begin with?

Some are not good hunters, some are. I'm thinking if you let them get hungry first, it could make a big difference.

yea, Pebbles was better when hungry. Belle couldn't care less and was way more interested in the drain and the stopper.

can you feed oxtail? i saw it at the farmers market, so i don't know if i can feed it, but you said pretty much anything... what can you feed for bones other than chicken, and possibly oxtail and turkey.
